13/x Update: KOSMOS 2612 made a manoeuver back to the orbital altitude of ICEYE-X36 late on Oct 19. This slowed down the drift away from the latter. It appears it is not done with ICEYE-X36 yet.

A classified Russian spacecraft makes unprecedented close approach to an imaging satellite supporting Ukraine. Context: russianspaceweb.com/spacecra…
1/x According to current orbital elements, the Russian #KOSMOS 2612 satellite is now within 1-2 km of #ICEYE-X36. Based on current elements, it might come within meters of the latter within a few hours from now. This is an #RPO without consent. (cont.)

First visuals of the Soviet Meteor satellite which just experienced some kind of break-up event. Background on this satellite family: russianspaceweb.com/meteor.h…
Optical observation conditions for this object are currently poor at our sites due to orbit/Earth's shadow. Nevertheless, a pass over Australia, recorded on 2026-10-08, still showed some debris around METEOR 2-7 #12456.
