Quentin Tarantino spending three minutes telling a ridiculous joke in Desperado (1995), then laughing harder than anyone else, might be the most Tarantino thing ever.

When thinking about John Carpenter movies, "Prince of Darkness" (1987) may not be in the top 5 movies of most people, but it is one of his unique movies. There is a lot to like about the picture. The atmosphere gives a complete feel of a giallo picture rather than reminding of a John Carpenter movie. There are homages to many great films of the genre. I felt that there was scope for the movie to be a lot better, but other than the early scientific mumbo jumbo stories to set up the movie, there isn't much in the movie to dislike.
Stop caring so much. People don't just say things, they project who they are. Stop taking it personally. Be thick skinned. Let opinions pass. Just stay with you. Your values. Your beliefs. Ask "who am I?". And live from there. That's your core. That's your operating system.

Pitt’s spidey senses are already activated when she tells him she’s living at Span Ranch with a bunch of friends “like her”. He knows the owner of Span Ranch, shot movies there 8yrs ago, and already suspects what turns out to be the case - a bunch of hippies are squatting there, exploiting the owner. He only agreed to driver her out there to check on George. So when she starts coming onto him, he’s already not interested, on top of her being underage. But he plays it supremely cool the whole way.
