Suppose someone wanted to start a YouTube channel dedicated to history, what would be a good name for it? Something that immediately conveys history, while still sounding elegant, distinctive, and catchy.

"a dreadful terrorist like Sharjeel Imam"
Madam 2BHK, As a Journalist before taking a side for a dreadful terrorist like Sharjeel Imam who threatened to separate Assam from India. I wished you read on reasonable restrictions under Article 19 as well. How can anyone in India side with Sharjeel Imam? This is the exact step motherly treatment people of Northeast complain against Mainlanders. For you, the people of Northeast and their sentiments are meaningless. You want people of Northeast to die from years of violence. When someone else provokes violence, instead of condemning it. You are supporting their cause. Giving a humanitarian tint to their despicable cause. Do you even know how many people died, houses and property burned, in Assam due to CAA-NRC violence which was called in by Sharjeel Imam after that speech? Do your research properly before trying to teach me law. Many believe that if Congress comes to power. The ultra radical leftist cabal of you, Rana Ayyub, Ayesha etc will come to power. NO We in Congress, are a Centrist Party and know exactly the agenda of yours and we are equidistantly keeping our distances from you or your motives. As much as we do from Godi Media or their Sanghi prerogatives. You are as wrong as the Godi Media. So please, keep your 2 cents of constitutional epiphany with your own self whilst trying to give safeguard to a dreaded Terrorist like Sharjeel Imam. The Constitution DOES NOT safeguard rights of those who call for its deserection and contempt. The Constitution respects and stands for only those who respect it, in their mind and soul. Those who have problem with the Constitution of India, can take citizenship of other countries. But no one, ever, has the right demean, delittle or degrade our Constitution and it's ideals. And then come begging in front of it for protection. Never threaten the people of Assam or Northeast! NEVER! Let Sharjeel Imam be an example of that to all. The Northeast has seen a bloody history and we don't want a repeat of same.

A man went to a tailor, handed him some fabrics to be stitched, and asked which day should he come to collect. The tailor replied, "come any day except monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday, or sunday."
I saw that piece in The Print on Sharjeel Imam which misses the point. The Indian Constitution guarantees freedom of speech. One doesn’t have to like his views or agree with him to know that he cannot be incarcerated for his opinions, or live in jail without a trial.

Tell me you've not read the Constitution without telling me you've not read the Constitution. The American Constitution's First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech. The Indian Constitution's First Amendment virtually kills it. Thank you Nehru.

> "Sharjeel Imam was arrested on 28 Jan and has been in jail for nearly 7yrs under for his ALLEGED involvement in the Delhi riots, which began on 23 February." And then they call Sharjeel a radical when he speaks critically about the constitution, judiciary and administration.
Sharjeel Imam is neither a liberal nor a leftist but an actual Islamist who believes that Republic of India itself is a Hindutva project of Gandhi and Nehru. He is currently in jail under UAPA not for his views but because of his alleged involvement in Delhi riots.

Sharjeel Imam has not even scratched the surface regarding the systemic injustices and bias against Muslims within public institutions, the administration and the law. Yet, both the right and left have united to demonise and dehumanise him.

Regardless of attempts to delegitimise Sharjeel Imam, his influence and relevance within mainstream Muslim socio-political discourse has grown and will continue to grow.

Not commenting on the map or the user, just quoting this to highlight another point. We possess a contemporary account by an individual who served Nawab Hyder Ali, which gives us a detailed account of his Telugu father, his conversion to Islam, and his entry into the military.

Whatever Sharjeel Imam has remarked about the Indian constitution, power structure, and democracy is objectively true and beyond dispute. Hindutva liberals/left like you are the sons, daughters, wives, husbands, and relatives of Hindutva radicals/right. You eat, love, make babies with each other. In all these years, did your segment boycott them? No. Your civilisational aim of India as a sarvarna Hindu majoritarian country remains the same. All you differ is whether should you throw 1 bone or 2 bones at minorities, dalits and adivasis. Does your criticism stop the brutal persecution of Muslims in India? Their digital and on-ground demonisation? Could it avert anti-Muslim policies? Leave everything, could it provide water (a basic necessity) for certain Bengali Muslims denied water by a local BJP representative because Muslims do not vote for them? Then what good is your nominal criticism of the Sanghis (your own wives, husbands, parents and children)? And you want the oppressed to keep singing the praises of the Indian constitution, which cannot even secure them basic water supply because an elected representative is angry? You'd say that 'the Sanghis misuse power'... so why are they able to misuse it despite having the almighty constitution? At the end of the day: All roads lead to Sharjeel.
When a Muslim expresses ideas that are narrow, bigoted, radical, extremist, secessionist and fascist etc. we should calmly nod our heads and say "hmm interesting, let's engage with this "political thinker"; but when a Hindu nationalist expresses the same ideas we should promptly say "chal phut sanghi kahinka"! Wah re hypocrisy!

Sarojni Naidu in a poem addressed to Her Highness Nazli Raffia, Begum sahiba of Janjira:
This is the unconquered Janjira Fort, which multiple generations of British, Portuguese, and Marathas attacked but failed to take. Shivaji alone lost nearly 15,000 men here. Sambhaji and Bajirao also failed. Murud-Janjira Fort was built by Sultan Murtaza Nizam Shah in 984 AH (1576-77 CE). Initially, the island was defended by a wooden fortification built by the Koli pirates. After defeating them, Ahmad Nizam Shah captured the fortifications and reinforced the existing structure. However, this entire wooden structure was demolished and replaced with the grand stone fort that stands today during the reign of Sultan Murtaza Nizam Shah I (r. 1565–1588). The earliest inscription found here, dated 1576–77 CE, states that Fahim Khan built the fort and its bastions on the orders of the Sultan. Another inscription from the reign of Emperor Shah Alam II Bahadur, dated 1122 AH (1710–11 CE), reinforces this tradition, again stating that the fort was built by Fahim Khan during the reign of the "Nizam Shah of the Deccan."

One half brands him an Islamist terrorist and his ideas dangerous. The other dismisses his legitimate criticism as mere bitterness. Then you wonder why he sees both sides as part of the problem.
Mr Gupta, I’ve spent a little bit of time in jail. You’re lucky you haven’t. When a man is locked up & deprived of his basic freedom to move for 6 years without trial, guess what? He will become bitter. He doesn’t have the luxury of sipping on champagne & talking “Constitution” & “liberalism”. Dont expect him to worship the Constitution when it hasn’t done jackshit for him in 6 years. Cheap dog whistling but no one expects any better from you.

A dilemma before us was which language to use as the medium for our monologues: English or Urdu? After much discussion and thought, we decided to make our videos in Urdu, which can be understood by most of the Indian subcontinent's diaspora as well as its natives. However, we decided not to out-of-touch Urdu. We had to make this compromise because the Hindus can't grasp such Urdu. For instance, saying 'andha' rather than 'nabeena', and letting words such as 'statistics' and 'topic' remain as they are, rather than using 'shumariyat/adab-o-shumar' or 'mauzu'. Nevertheless, we intend to retain the Urdu character of our speech, as in: "Aur Mughal tareekhnavees Ali Muhammad ki kitaab Mirat-e-Ahmadi mein darj hai ke…" or "50 feesad log bamushkil guzara kar rahe the". In short, we would be using the urban, college Urdu, which remained the largest understood language by the Indians and Pakistanis, even easily understood by rural audiences.
