STAY AHEAD OF THE STORMS: Severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening for most of Central Texas. Download our FREE KWTX Weather App to get instant severe weather alerts and local radar you can move to wherever the storms are.
Big issues in Central/Eastern Bell County with a heavy burst of freezing rain along I-35. The heavy freezing rain in Belton, Troy, and Temple will cause road conditions to worsen in a jiffy. This cell should ride near and east of I-35 over the coming hour into McLennan County.

Father's Day 2021 is almost here and it'll be about what you'd expect weather wise. Late morning temperatures in the 80s will warm into the 90s through the afternoon. Humidity will be back too and it'll feel like the triple-digits all afternoon long.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you precious moms, particularly my Sis, Tami and our beloved Mother, Pat!
My precious co-anchor, @MegVanselow presented a box of chocolates during our Saturday morning broadcast. This girl has a heart of gold for her friends and co-workers!
Me and “Mary Ann” - circa 1977 in Corpus Christi. Rest In Peace Dawn Wells. I’m sure there was a heavenly welcome from “The Skipper” and all the rest of the Gilligan’s Island cast and crew.
This saddens me to the very core. Another casualty of the 2020 virus. Country icon, Charley Pride died today at 86 from Covid 19 complications. One of the kindest men I’ve ever been honored to meet!
Thank you my sweet friend! Praying for a great turnout as we “put a bow” on this year’s @ToysForTots_USA
Our @RustyGarrettWx and Toys for Tots chairman is burning the midnight oil getting ready for @ToysForTots_USA ! This man is an angel. Drop off your toys tomorrow (Friday) at the @kwtx studio if you'd like to help make the holidays extra special!
