Ok I'll give as good faith answer as possible. I've worked in the corporate world for 35 years, I have never seen ideological crossover into what was always a secular space. People around me throughout my career (I'm a company director) climbed the ladder on merit and competency, yes there was occasionally an appointment that was made that raised eyebrows but largely, it was an equal playing field. From the 90s on more women entered the workspace, which I advocated for, and to this point, women are now dominating the space where I work, perhaps to the point of overcorrection. Now, around 2018 I watched as DE&I policies were introduced, I actually supported the underlying premise of fair representation but based on MERIT. After George Floyd DE&I went on steroids, it went nuclear. Race based education became MANDATORY, we were told to attend multiple sessions to be told how bad white people were, people's job description changed, contracts now had DE&I quotas We literally hired a 3rd party marketing comp because they we're ALL FEMALE, I protested and was told to shut up or else. We spent over 2 million over 4 years and they were absolutely awful. Internally people were being appointed into roles they were woefully under qualified for so the company could hit ESG targets, which were financially incentives by lenders such as BlackRock. White staff were pretty much told not to apply for new roles, externally, the company refused CV s they thought were white....they would check LinkedIn. We had to sit for almost 5 years and listen to endless anti white racism from black members of staff. We went from 50-50 make female ratio to 70% female in just 5 years. We went from 68% white to 39% in 5 years.....white men are now 9% of staff. People's careers have been eviscerated because of DE&I....and for the last 3 years the company have missed profit for the first time ever, leading to 20% redundancy.....all white people, not a single black or brown person was touched. My son wanted to apply for Edinburgh uni for forensic psychology, he was told he had a 0.4% chance of entry. An Asian female has a 17% chance with the SAME GRADES. DE&I is simply jargon for anti white racism. That's why the response has been so hard, because for 6 years it has wrecked people's lives. It's a false premise, a cheat code for idiots.
