An important moment yesterday, when Lindsay and Craig’s imprisonment in Iran was discussed in Parliament. Please sign the petition to free this innocent couple, taken prisoner while travelling through Iran with official Iranian permission and a guide. 1/2

My morning β€œdaylight” walk is an important part of my #GetMoreSleep campaign. Luckily it was actually sunny this morning, so I could take some photos in the churchyard. #WalkingIsGoodForYou

I’m glad I was never a member of the BMA. In my day, the BMA was run by a bunch of boring old fogeys. Nowadays, it’s run by a bunch of silly young activists.

Agree the safest changing rooms are single sex, perhaps with some separate larger rooms for individual families. We should be forcing councils to implement this,
🚩 A man is in court charged with sexually assaulting two six-year-old girls in the mixed-sex showers of an Armagh leisure centre. Yet again children pay the price for the safeguarding failures of local councils who are supposed to protect us in public spaces. This is why we campaign for single-sex spaces. The safest changing room is a single-sex changing room.

Please support our fight to #SavePenrhos a place for all ! How anyone could think 500 chalets a tropical swimming pool restaurant and shops and parking for over 1000 cars would enhance Penrhos ! People visit Penrhos from near and far for nature, they don’t want it destroyed for a minority to profit from the destruction of a beautiful unique place, which has so much to offer !Our aim as a community is to raise the funds to purchase Penrhos for the community the wildlife and all who visit ! @DaleVince @PamAyres @DeborahMeaden @HamzaYassin3 please support our fight ! πŸ“ΈBernie Humpleby

Great to see a statue of a woman - even if she is a 'fishwife'. Taken on my walk on the last day of May, through Nairn.

Three years ago I was having chemo for my oesophageal cancer. Three months of treatment and I was virtually housebound. I was hoping I might live to see another spring, but to my surprise I’ve lived to see three more springs and summers.

My Jeffrey Archer anecdote. 1/2 On my coastal walk, I found myself approaching an open prison in Lincolnshire. The footpath seemed to go right through the prison. As I climbed the stile on the prison border, a group of men called to me. They were standing in a garden beside a bungalow surrounded by high fences. I remember thinking it was odd to see such high fences in an β€œopen” prison.

The men were very polite and told me to phone the guardhouse - the number was on a faded notice on the stile. I did, and I ended up being escorted through the prison by a very overweight and unfit prison guard. He told me the reason for the tall fences around the bungalow I had see . It had once housed Jeffrey Archer. The fences were not to keep the prisoners IN. No, the fences were built to keep the paparazzi OUT. Good. But not enough. I would hope that mutilating clinicians are sued into bankruptcy and oblivion.
A New York jury just awarded $2 MILLION to a young woman who underwent a double mastectomy at 16 and later detransitioned. The jury found her psychologist and surgeon liable for malpractice. Her case alleged that serious mental-health issues, including depression, body dysmorphia, anorexia and autism-spectrum traits, were not adequately addressed before an irreversible procedure was performed on a minor. Now watch what happens when someone like her speaks publicly. For years we were told regret was exceedingly rare. We were told these procedures were necessary care. We were told questioning the process itself was dangerous. But when a detransitioner stands up and says, β€œThis happened to me,” suddenly she becomes the problem. That is the epistemic tell. When evidence supports the narrative, it is celebrated. When evidence contradicts the narrative, the person carrying the evidence gets attacked. A jury heard the testimony. A jury examined the evidence. A jury found malpractice. And a jury put the damages at $2 million. You don’t protect vulnerable young people by demanding silence from the ones who came back and said, β€œI wish someone had slowed this down.” You protect them by listening. #AStoneGroove #SilentMajoritySpeaks

Well done all you lovely runners, standing up for fairness for women and girls. ❀️
β€œTo claim the largest ever official Parkrun club debut in the UK is a massive achievement as we only started taking registrations 5 weeks ago. It proves how much support there is for sex-based categories at Parkrun that guarantee fairness for women & girls” #RealityRulesRunnersUK
