HOW ARE URINARY BLADDER STONES TREATED?
Urinary bladder stones form when minerals in urine crystallize and harden inside the bladder.
Common symptoms:
• Pain in the lower abdomen
• Pain or burning when urinating
• Frequent urination
• Blood in the urine
• Difficulty passing urine
Treatment options:
🔹 Cystolitholapaxy: A doctor inserts a small instrument through the urethra to break the stone into smaller pieces and remove them.
🔹Surgical removal: Large stones may require open or minimally invasive surgery.
🔹 Treating the cause: Enlarged prostate, urinary blockage, or incomple
Your body weight doesn’t tell your entire fitness story!
Body composition describes the proportions of fat, muscle, bone, and other tissues.
Two people with the same weight can have very different body compositions.
Measurements and body-composition tools can offer additional context, but each has limitations.
Strength, energy, endurance, and daily habits matter too.
Focus on overall health instead of judging progress by the scale alone!
Your Goals Don’t Need More Motivation. They Need a System.
Meet your new Daily Habit Tracker built to turn small actions into real consistency.
No more “I’ll start tomorrow.”
No more restarting every Monday.
Just show up. Track it. Improve.

🏋️ Your training session is only one part of the process of becoming stronger.
Your body also needs adequate rest, nourishing meals, and enough sleep to recover from physical activity.
Training harder every day isn't automatically better, especially when you're constantly exhausted or struggling with persistent soreness.
Listen to your body, allow recovery between demanding sessions, and increase your workload gradually.
Smart training means knowing when to challenge yourself and when to recover. #Health
You might be having HIV without knowing. Do the checkup id you see these signs or do checkup every 6 months
What happens to sperm when you don't ejaculate?
Your body has a natural way of managing sperm, even when you go days, weeks, or months without ejaculating.
🧬 1. Sperm don't accumulate forever. The testicles continuously produce sperm, but unused sperm eventually age and die.
♻️ 2. Your body reabsorbs them. Old sperm are broken down and their components are reabsorbed by the reproductive tract, particularly the epididymis, where sperm mature and are stored.
🌙 3. You may experience a wet dream. Sometimes, semen is released during sleep, but this doesn't happen to everyone—and it's not necessary for maintaining reproductive health.
💪 4. Not ejaculating is generally harmless. You don't have to ejaculate regularly to stay healthy. Your body continues its normal processes whether you ejaculate or not.
The bottom line: Sperm are continually produced, stored temporarily, and eventually reabsorbed if they aren't ejaculated. They don't build up indefinitely, and your body doesn't need you to release them to remain healthy.

Lol, it looks easy until you find yourself in that situation. Your eyes go clear .
Not every breech presentation needs a cesarean.
This clear educational demo shows the step-by-step technique for assisting a vaginal breech birth on a training mannequin when specific safety criteria are met (estimated fetal weight under 4 kg, pure or complete breech, flexed or neutral head attitude, and an experienced team).
Understanding these maneuvers helps preserve the option of a vaginal delivery in carefully selected cases instead of defaulting to surgery. Worth watching for anyone involved in obstetrics or simply wanting informed choices around birth.
What happens if you move during spinal anesthesia?
It’s one of the most common worries before a C-section, but even small movements don’t necessarily mean something will go wrong.
The key is to stay as still as possible and communicate with your anesthesiologist throughout the procedure.

The WHO's 2025 country profile estimates that 1.2 million Rwandan adults aged 30–79 had hypertension in 2024. Only about 7% had their blood pressure under control.
World Health Organization
A Rwanda Public Health Bulletin study reported 750 deaths attributed to hypertension in 2023. This is a narrower, cause-specific measure and should not be directly compared with estimates covering all deaths attributable to high blood pressure #Rwanda @RwandaNCDA @RBCRwanda @RwandaHealth

Two days of scientific learning, new ideas, and inspiration at the 5th Anatomy Annual Congress in Rwanda (AACR 2026)
Key takeaways:
1️⃣Anatomy is the foundation of medicine. As emphasized by the Minister of Health Dr @nsanzimanasabin , if you want to learn medicine, invest in its foundation: anatomy.
2️⃣3D technology is transforming anatomy education: Learning anatomy through 3D models makes it more convenient and interactive, helping students better understand the body's structures, their relationships, and regional anatomy.
3️⃣Human body donation matters: Body donation plays an important role in medical education, giving future healthcare professionals opportunities to learn and understand the human body. As medical students, we have a responsibility to raise awareness in our communities about its importance.
If someone can support others while they are alive, why not after death? Why can't we embrace this mentality of giving even beyond our lifetime? We need open conversations that respectfully challenge cultural and religious beliefs that may discourage body donation while promoting informed choices, dignity, and respect.
Grateful for the knowledge gained and the opportunity to learn from the people committed to advancing medical education in our country.

From tomorrow, October 22–23, I will be part of the 5th Anatomy Annual Congress in Rwanda (AACR 2026) at AUCA Masoro Campus, under the theme:
“From Structure to Solution: Anatomy Driving Clinical Excellence.”
Looking forward to learning from experts, exchanging ideas with fellow medical students and professionals, and exploring how anatomical knowledge translates into clinical excellence and better patient care.
Excited for two days of learning, collaboration, and inspiration!

HOW ARE KIDNEY STONES REMOVED?
Kidney stones can cause severe pain, blood in urine and difficulty urinating. Treatment depends on the stone’s size, location and whether it blocks urine flow.
🔹 Small stones: May pass naturally through urine.
🔹Shock-wave lithotripsy:
Uses sound waves to break stones into smaller fragments.
🔹Ureteroscopy: A thin camera and laser are used to break up stones inside the urinary tract.
🔹PCNL surgery: A small incision in the back allows doctors to remove large or complex kidney stones.
Fever or chills with a suspected kidney stone can signal a dangerous infection, especially if urine flow is blocked. Seek urgent medical care.
The right treatment starts with proper imaging and medical assessment.

EPIDURAL BIRTH: MYTHS VS FACTS
An epidural is a form of pain relief used during labour. A doctor places a thin catheter in the lower back to deliver medication that reduces pain while the mother remains awake.
❌ Myth: It causes permanent back pain.
✅ Fact: Temporary soreness can occur, but long-term back pain is not generally caused by an epidural.
❌ Myth: It always leads to a C-section.
✅ Fact: An epidural does not automatically increase the need for a C-section.
❌ Myth: It paralyses the mother.
✅ Fact: Permanent nerve injury is extremely rare.
❌ Myth: It harms the baby.
✅ Fact: Epidurals are generally considered safe when administered and monitored by trained professionals.
Every birth is different. Choosing an epidural is not weakness, and choosing natural pain relief is not a measure of strength.
Informed mothers deserve informed choices.
