@rosellacappella and I are excited to introduce our new Belligerents in Battle dataset! It contains information on 984 belligerent sides fighting 492 battles since 1900. A full description is in our @jststs article. We summarize key findings here. Thread: tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.…
Hey @JeffPagliocca — resign. You are a pathetic embarrassment who has no business being a WNBA GM. Your smallness and pettiness are astounding, in an era replete with small, petty men doing everything they can to wreck institutions that they unjustifiably lead.

Hey, @JeffPagliocca: I hope you feel like you are a real big boy now now that you have “put Angel in her place.” Congrats on making a struggling organization even worse. If you had any decency, you would resign.

Logging onto Elon Musk’s hellsite for the first time in a year for the sole purpose of telling @JeffPagliocca that, if he had any decency, he would resign immediately and let the @chicagosky hire a real GM. Now, back to greener pastures (where, tellingly, Pagliocca fears to go).

In addition to the ISA 2026 deadline being today, the IS-ISSS 2025 section deadline is fast approaching on June 15.
This year the conference is at the new @SAISHopkins center in DC. I have no affiliation with SAIS, but I've been to the building and it's nothing short of incredible. I also attended IS-ISSS last fall in Pittsburgh (shout-out and thank you to @RyanGrauer) which was excellent.

Heading to Chicago today for #ISA2025? Come join @rtecottmetz, @sam_gerstle, @LeiterSam, @BrianDBlank, and me for a deep dive into alliance behaviors!
For those in Chicago bright and early Sunday, come join us! I will be presenting research on contingency access, an overlooked but crucial form of military cooperation. A lot of other interesting new work on the military elements of alliances @sam_gerstle @LeiterSam @RyanGrauer

The International Security Studies Section of @ISAnet still seeks Emerging Scholar Award nominations (<45 years old or <15 years from PhD). Nominating's easy, and receiving the award has real impact at an important career stage. Please consider sending a name in by this Friday!
