Yankees fans complain that 90+ win teams suck but when someone says the 2023 team that missed the postseason and Jake Bauers hit .202/.279/.413 was bad it’s disrespectful.

For the first time in forever, somebody in the Yankees organization (the literal owner) held the players accountable.

my favorite part about the yankees post mortem today is when Aaron boone said hes "hears a lot" that the yankees dont hit in October like its a rumor.
Hal Steinbrenner is right - Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone aren't "bad" at their jobs, and there's no guarantee that whoever would come next would be better or even as good.
But he can't say it's still WS or bust and then keep them around willy nilly.
And yes, it is mostly on the players for not performing.
But someone also continues to bring in bad players!

Top team in the AL vs top team in the NL is excessively cool, and is somewhat rare in baseball history.
Throw in a fanbase guaranteed to have their first win ever, and TB starting 2 ex-MIL SP, and the World Series is going to be kind of a real blast.
