Just think about how different our country would have been if the North Germanic Vikings had remained in Newfoundland and expanded their settlements westward across what is now Canada.
Our country would have been vastly different culturally, particularly in its language and traditions.
Instead of being called Canada, it most likely would have adopted the name Vinland, with its people known as Vinlanders.
The national language would likely have been a descendant of Old Norse, perhaps evolving into its own distinct dialect or language.
The national flag would bear the Nordic cross, with a green background and a white-bordered cross.
Genuinely, this is one of those rare moments when I am deeply proud to say that I have Viking ancestry 💪🏻🇳🇴

Never in my life did I think I would witness something so abhorrent in a Western country. To see rape openly glorified as resistance is beyond sickening. They had been doing this for thousands of years, and so were us Europeans. We tamed them, civilised, and built a proper society which they benefited from and so did we. There is nothing 'evil' about this. Upon having established our Dominion, we have made major efforts to regard them with as much respect as we should, as people, and people within our European-made country. It is time they started showing us the respect we deserve for all we have done and continue to do.
