Southwest Airlines debuts a special new livery aircraft in honor of America's 250th birthday: Independence One, registration N1776R.
Perhaps most eye-catching: "Red, white, and blue paint scheme with 1776 written in giant quill script, and the key phrase, 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' from the Declaration of Independence and the three inalienable rights endowed to all humans," the airline says.

Ukraine’s HUR says Russia had around 140 Su-34 fighter-bombers in service as of October 22. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, HUR counts 43 destroyed and another 7 damaged. If reports that two Su-34s were destroyed in today’s strike on Marinovka airfield are confirmed, total destroyed losses would rise to 45 and the operational fleet estimate to roughly 138. Russia is estimated to produce 14-18 Su-34s annually. #Russia
❗️❗️Russian sources report that a strike on Marinovka military airfield in Volgograd region destroyed two Su-34 fighter-bombers. The airfield is used by Russia’s 11th Composite Aviation Regiment. Two servicemen were reportedly killed and two others wounded. #Russia

The horrific screams of "Tato! Tato!" (meaning "Dad! Dad!") will haunt my dreams forever.
Russian terrorism must be stopped. It must be! To strike a busy railway station full of civilians just to punish us is completely inhuman, next-level barbarism. I struggle to convey my disgust, my rage... and sorrow.
Why was it done, why kill people like this? To say "we are letting Oleshky evacuate, but we will still keep murdering you?" I cant wrap my mind around it. I can't. Why? Why??
14 people are dead after the russian strike on a railway station in Dnipro.

Heritage Foundation funded an episode of Tucker’s podcast featuring Jeffrey Sachs
🇷🇺 Sachs is on the media advisory board of the Moscow-based psyops “supergroup” we exposed last month
Has a declared objective of waging “information warfare” against the West via a “family of podcasts”
🇨🇳 As noted by @jasonahart, Sachs is also associated with the CCP
@Heritage Can we talk about the group exposed on my podcast last month?
Tonight's new @TuckerCarlson episode featuring Israel-hating Chinese Communist Party apparatchik Jeffrey Sachs reminds me of this bit of Tucker trivia: Tucker's June 2025 interview with Sachs was sponsored by THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION

🇩🇪🇱🇹NEW: GERMANY TO STRENGTHEN ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENCE CAPABILITIES ON NATO'S EASTERN FLANK
Germany plans to equip its permanently stationed brigade in Lithuania with advanced electronic warfare capabilities, strengthening NATO's ability to monitor Russian and Belarusian military activity.
The capabilities support:
• Detection and analysis of radar and radio emissions.
• Identification and geolocation of electronic emitters.
• Monitoring of military activity near Kaliningrad and Belarus.
• Improved situational awareness and intelligence sharing with NATO allies.
Germany's 45th Armoured Brigade is expected to reach full operational capability in 2027.
Why this matters:
Kaliningrad hosts significant Russian military infrastructure, including air-defence systems, radar installations and electronic warfare assets.
A permanent German presence with dedicated electronic intelligence capabilities could strengthen NATO's ability to detect changes in Russian military activity and improve early warning along the alliance's eastern flank.
This is another indication that Germany's deployment to Lithuania is about more than conventional armoured forces. It is also about strengthening NATO's intelligence and surveillance capabilities.
👂 Ears on the Border
Deep in Lithuania's forests, Bundeswehr soldiers are installing special sensors on trees to monitor radio signals coming from Belarus and Russia.
The operation is carried out by Germany's 45th Brigade, stationed in Lithuania. Its mission is to detect new air defense radars, troop movements, and other military activity near NATO's borders before they become a threat.
The intelligence collected is fed into NATO databases and used, among other things, to update the systems of Eurofighter jets.
So now, when Belarus switches on a new military radar, NATO might know about it before Lukashenko even gets the briefing.
Stubb: Russia loses more soldiers in a month than the USSR did during the entire war in Afghanistan
Finland’s president said around 25,000 Russian soldiers are killed in Ukraine every month.
That is more than the Soviet Army’s total losses in Afghanistan, which amounted to approximately 18,000 troops.

Three and a half years ago, we chose a path towards technological independence. We knew that it was the right choice then. Events have proved it again and again since. It’s not an easy path, and it takes time. We’re not fully there yet, but we’ve already made major advances across many areas.
As a Ukrainian manufacturer of long-range drones and missiles, we have to keep going. Our production schedule, and Ukraine’s ability to defend itself, can’t depend on headlines or events outside our control that change by the hour.

NEW: 🇰🇵 North Korea has fired around 12 short-range ballistic missiles toward the East Sea, South Korea’s military says. The missiles were launched from Wonsan and flew approximately 250 km.
The launch comes amid heightened tensions along the inter-Korean border following a land mine blast on September 21 that injured three South Korean soldiers.
North Korea has also threatened further military measures, while a North Korean self-propelled howitzer was spotted near the western front line earlier this week. South Korea described the artillery deployment as likely intended primarily for show.
Pyongyang denies responsibility for the mine blast. South Korea says it remains vigilant and is coordinating with the United States and Japan.

BREAKING: 🇱🇹 Two men suspected of attempting to set fire to Starlink equipment in Vilnius, Lithuania, have been arrested in Germany, Lithuanian authorities announced.
The suspects, both in their 20s, hold dual German citizenship alongside Turkish and Serbian citizenship, respectively. Investigators believe they travelled to Lithuania shortly before the attempted arson and left immediately afterwards.
Lithuanian investigators say the operation was premeditated and suspect the men were also linked to attacks targeting Starlink equipment in Poland and Bulgaria. They are not believed to have personally carried out the Polish arson, but investigators suspect their involvement.
The men face serious terrorism-related suspicions, including forming or participating in a terrorist group and committing terrorist acts. The most severe penalty for forming or participating in such a group in Lithuania is 10–15 years in prison.
The attempted arson targeted premises belonging to Lithuanian company Delska, where SpaceX operates and stores Starlink equipment. Lithuanian politicians have linked the incident to Russia.
Authorities in Lithuania are cooperating with counterparts in Germany, Poland and Bulgaria. A decision on whether the two suspects will be transferred to Lithuania has not yet been announced.
