So unbelievably grateful to @MayorSchieve for this honor to my father. It’s Russ Sheltra Day! 7/1/23 🙏🏻 – at Reno, NV
What humbly started as a deal on the back of a napkin, Russ Sheltra has transformed into one of Nevada’s most successful gaming properties. In recognition of Bonanza Casino's 50th Anniversary, we're honored by @MayorSchieve @CityofReno Proclamation of July 1 as Russ Sheltra Day!
Thank you @KTVN for covering @BonanzaCasino’s event for our firefighters today. 🔥🔥🔥
HAWK FIRE
Firefighters are getting a little extra support from the community. The Bonanza Casino offered free meals to firefighters on Sunday, calling it a small token of appreciation for the heroes working to protect our communities. Alin Beane reports.

I can say personally that those fighting the fires not only saved my home, but the homes of our staff and our Bonanza customers. Their efforts perhaps even saved our casino. This is our way of letting the firefighters know how much we appreciate all they are doing for our community. @RenoFireDept @SparksFireDept @TMFPD @NLTahoeFire @NTFPD_ @tahoefire @CarsonFireDept @SLakeFireRescue @NevadaForestry @USWFS @CAL_FIRE @NLCFPD @CentralLyonFire @BonanzaCasino @Cal_OES @MayorSchieve @TheEdLawson

Small change can make a big difference. 💛
In 2025, our guests helped raise $14,115.67 through ATM change donations at Bonanza Casino—supporting cancer research and community care.
Thank you for giving back one transaction at a time.
