Australia’s most decorated soldier, VC recipient Ben Roberts-Smith, was driven to the brink of suicide by a relentless witch hunt. Now Anthony Albanese’s government is trying to lock him up for life. He hit absolute rock bottom after years of allegations. “There were many times I thought it might be a better option for my family if I just took my own life,” he said. What stopped him was his kids, and the realisation that suicide would let his accusers claim victory and brand him guilty forever. For four years he stayed silent during the defamation case, trusting the system. He was wrong. Nine slaughtered his reputation while he said nothing. Now he’s speaking out because the scales are being tipped against him. “The public has a right to know how the scales of justice are being tipped in favour of the government.” Albanese’s prosecutors have charged him with five war crimes murder counts over 2009 - 2012 engagements. Roberts-Smith insists no civilians were killed, every one involved Taliban fighters. Judges and bureaucrats are second guessing split second battlefield decisions from lounge chairs. Australia’s highest decorated living soldier faces the prospect of dying in prison while Albanese’s government presses ahead. He trusted the process once. He’s not doing it again. The public deserves to see every step. I stand with Ben Roberts Smith.

Thin skinned Anthony Albanese has confirmed about 20 charges have been laid against people over abuse directed at him, while trying to minimise the horrific attack on Helen Haines and make the entire story about himself. As Australians process the violence against an independent MP, Albo jumped straight onto ABC radio network to remind everyone how hard he has it as Prime Minister. “There’s been about 20 charges laid against people, and that has occurred with me as Prime Minister,” he said, adding that some were “very serious” and that he’s had major security upgrades at his home. He won’t give details (copycat fears, apparently) and claims he doesn’t even look at social media comments for his mental health, he doesn’t have some of the platforms on his phone so he “can’t see it if I wanted to.” This comes as other MPs report serious threats: Barnaby Joyce has had a man try to drive at him, Pauline Hanson has stepped up personal protection, Andrew Hastie’s children have allegedly received death threats, and Tanya Plibersek has allegedly faced death and rape threats. AFP reports of harassing, nuisance, offensive and threatening behaviour against federal parliamentarians and related targets hit 1,067 in 2025-26, up from 951 the year before. The political landscape is in absolute meltdown, but Australia’s PM is more worried about his own comment section than fixing the broken system. Is he a leader, or just completely obsessed with his own press?

BREAKING: ATTEMPTED MP ASSASSIN BRENDAN NUGENT FACES COURT TODAY Brendan Nugent, 43, is set to make a highly anticipated appearance in the Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court this morning following the horrific, targeted ramming of Independent Federal MP Dr Helen Haines. Chilling new details reveal the absolute chaos and calculated nature of the Monday afternoon horror show: Police allege Nugent deliberately weaponised a white Toyota LandCruiser, ploughing directly into the 65-year-old politician outside her own office. Dr Haines was rushed to hospital in critical condition, with devastating reports confirming she has tragically lost a leg. The investigation is so severe that Victoria Police’s elite Security Investigation Unit has taken over, already raiding a property in Tarrawingee. Nugent didn't go quietly, he was forcefully restrained by a heroic bystander at the scene before cops arrived. Nugent now stares down a sheet of massive charges, including intentionally causing serious injury and causing harm to a Commonwealth public official. Crowds have been queuing outside the courthouse since 6:30 AM demanding answers. Stay tuned for live updates as the courtroom drama unfolds.

BREAKING: Brendan Nugent faces court for the first time and just like that, he’s already playing the mental health card. Five minutes in Wangaratta Magistrates Court and the script was locked in. Brendan Nugent, 43, of Tarrawingee, glided in wearing black Havaiana thongs, black shorts and a crinkled grey windcheater. Calm. Detached. Twiddling his thumbs like it was a quiet maiden over while magistrate Allison Vaughan ran the proforma hearing. He didn’t speak. Showed no obvious emotion. His lawyer immediately flagged “mental health concerns,” a rare neurological disorder, idiopathic transverse myelitis, a concussion, and the fact this was his first time in court and he wasn’t on any medication. No drug withdrawal issues. No bail application. Remanded until 4 February. Meanwhile, independent MP Helen Haines remains critically ill in The Alfred in Melbourne after allegedly being deliberately rammed, twice, with Nugent’s Toyota LandCruiser outside her own Wangaratta electorate office. She’s already lost one leg. Surgeons have been fighting to save the other. Police say it was targeted. The court was packed, media turned away, and the whole thing was over before most people finished their coffee. Neighbours had previously raised mental health concerns about him. Now the defence has the opening line on the record on day one. Classic leftist playbook. Soften the image early. Plant the seeds. Make the alleged attacker the one who needs understanding while the woman he allegedly mowed down fights for her life three hours away. Watch how this narrative develops.

BREAKING: SYDNEY DOUBLE MURDER CASE IN JEOPARDY AFTER SHOCKING ADMISSION Alleged Alameddine gangster Masood Zakaria, charged over the 2021 double murder of Salim and Toufik Hamze, flees Australia on a fishing boat, gets picked up in Türkiye, and Australian taxpayers foot a $1.1 million bill to haul him back. His lawyers call the AFP funded operation a “kidnapping.” Prosecutors have now admitted he was prohibited from being deported while his Turkish appeal was still live. Flexi cuffs on the plane, high profile NSW Police and AFP brass in the Supreme Court, and the whole thing hanging by a thread. The bumbling AFP Commissioner, Krissy Barrett, (who said the Bondi attack was not motivated by religion) is now being dragged into court to explain how she managed to completely fumble a double murder case by breaking international law. Our hard earned tax dollars at work, folks. Building a better Australia, one highly illegal, million dollar private flight at a time. Should have left him over there.

BREAKING: Albanese forced to Admit Office Released Scathing Dirt File on Helen Haines. In a stunning turn of events, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been caught red handed and forced to admit his office blasted out a targeted “dirt sheet” against Independent MP Helen Haines after she criticised grants to a golf club in his electorate. Then he immediately tried to pretend it wasn’t a dirt file. “Let’s be very clear, It’s a list of funding from Helen Haines, just showing that people of integrity stand up for their electorate,” he told ABC radio. “No personal criticism of Helen” Funny, a senior Labor source said at the time: “We’re not putting up with this nonsense and hypocrisy from our opponents” And Labor’s real gripe? That Haines requested $845 million for projects in Indi while criticising the government for using the same fund for its own election commitments. They hit her with the file. Then called it integrity. Then denied it was personal. Textbook dirt job and now a classic cover up.

VICTORIA POLICE FRAMED ONE OF THEIR OWN. An Indian born senior detective sergeant has been charged with perjury and attempting to pervert the course of justice after allegedly swapping phones and lying under oath to set up a decorated gangwar detective, purely over a personal falling out. Cheryl D’Lima allegedly handed the court a dummy Samsung Galaxy S5 that wasn’t even used during the period in question, knowing it would hide the truth and destroy her colleague’s career. He was convicted, fined, and his life was ruined. The County Court later threw it out, but the damage was done. IBAC’s Operation Picton alleges this was deliberate. A calculated stitch up by one of their own. If senior cops will allegedly frame and perjure themselves against a decorated detective over a personal grudge, what chance does an ordinary Australian have when the same people come after them? How many innocent people have been railroaded, careers destroyed, lives ruined? And we’ll never know because there’s no internal complaint that gets taken seriously. They protect their own until the grudge is personal. Then the system turns. The case was adjourned to January. Watch this one closely.

BREAKING: A migrant has been arrested at Sydney International Airport attempting to flee the country after fatal gangland style shooting. A 37 year old migrant has been intercepted by detectives at Sydney International Airport on Wednesday morning while trying to escape Australia. The arrest follows a major investigation by State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Parramatta detectives under Strike Force Karlgarin. About 11pm emergency services were called to Bounty Place, Old Toongabbie, where a Toyota Prado was found alight. State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, working with Parramatta Police Area Command, set up Strike Force Karlgarin to investigate the fatal shooting. Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested the 37 year old man at Sydney International Airport on Wednesday morning as he tried to leave. He was refused bail and was due to appear before Bail Division Court later that day. The investigation under Strike Force Karlgarin remains ongoing. This is the pattern. Commit a serious crime, burn the vehicle, then try to disappear overseas. How many more times will this happen before Albo turns off the tap and slow down immigration?

ALBO’S DIRTY SECRET EXPOSED While publicly lecturing Australia about “civility” and demanding an end to nasty attacks after a Victorian MP was assaulted, Anthony Albanese’s own office was circulating a secret dirt file on independent Helen Haines. The dossier was reportedly prepared and pushed from inside the Prime Minister’s office. It opens with the screaming headline: “IN THE PAST TWO YEARS THE MEMBER FOR INDI HAS ASKED FOR MORE THAN $1.8 BILLION WORTH OF FUNDING FOR PROJECTS SHE’S SELECTED.” It then raises a string of unsubstantiated questions about gifts, donations, and whether Haines had private interests in the projects she was chasing taxpayer money for. The scandal is that this smear job came from Albo’s office while he was out virtue signalling about respect in politics and “turning the temperature down” while behind the scenes he had it turned up to maximum. When confronted by Kieran Gilbert, Albo repeatedly refused to say whether he knew about it, approved it, or ordered it. Instead he awkwardly pivoted: “Helen Haines is a good local member, she’s a very strong advocate for her community.” Translated to, I won’t deny it, I won’t explain it, and I’m hoping you move on. This is the same Prime Minister who has spent weeks demanding higher standards and greater respect for opponents, while his office was apparently running a dirt unit against one of them. No denial. No accountability. Just more spin. The Australian public deserves the absolute truth: Who commissioned this dirt file? Why was it made? And who authorized the leak?

VICTORIA CROSS HERO HAULED OFF A PLANE IN FRONT OF HIS KIDS Ben Roberts-Smith has broken his silence, and he’s not holding back. The Victoria Cross recipient, facing five war crime murder charges and the prospect of life in prison, says his dramatic Sydney Airport arrest was never about risk. It was about theatre. “There is no way in any way, shape or form that I was considered a threat by the AFP,” he said. “I fought for this country, yet all those resources continue to be used on me right up until the arrest and still today.” He draws a direct line to Bondi: While the AFP claimed it was under resourced for Bondi counter terrorism, it spent years surveilling a decorated soldier. He asks why those resources weren’t used on actual threats. He also calls the airport arrest a calculated move. He lives in Brisbane, served in WA, yet was dragged off a plane on a six hour day trip to Sydney, in front of his wife and children. By arresting him in NSW hands the CDPP a procedural edge through committal hearings, where the prosecution can compel witnesses. In Queensland, only the defence can call them. He believes that was the entire point. He rejects the Nine defamation narrative, regrets staying silent while being “slaughtered in the press,” and points to Nine’s secret $700k payout to a key witness plus alleged intimidation of his own defence witnesses. A VC recipient. Arrested on the tarmac in front of his family. Still maintaining his innocence. And openly questioning why the system prioritised him over actual counter terror capacity. That’s the story. Not the press release version. The AFP, the Albanese government and channel 9 should hang their heads in shame.

Helen Haines gets attacked and within hours Andrew Hastie is on ABC making it all about himself. “Death threats” to his kids from eight years ago. His wife Ruth has veto power over his career. He doesn’t even check his own social media because it’s “bad for his mental health.” The whole bit. This is the same Andrew Hastie who was the informant on Ben Roberts-Smith. The man responsible for putting Ben Roberts-Smith in Silverwater Jail in a 24 hour suicide watch safe cell. The man now lecturing everyone about “not demonising opponents,” “modelling civil debate,” and drawing lines around speech was quite happy to inform on a fellow SASR soldier. Now he’s using another MP’s situation to pivot straight back to his own family, his past, and his feelings about online abuse. This guy would fit right into the Albanese Government, he loves dobbing in his “mates” and censorship.

ALBANESE REFUSES TO APOLOGISE OR EXPLAIN WHY HIS OFFICE COMMISSIONED A DIRT FILE ON HELEN HAINES. After Helen Haines was attacked outside her office, Anthony Albanese spent days lecturing Australia about “turning the temperature down” and calling for more respectful politics. He even described her as “much admired” and full of “integrity.” What he won’t do is explain, or apologise for, the secret dirt file his own office circulated questioning that same integrity. The document, edited by his Deputy Director of Communications Joshua Lloyd, cast doubt on whether Haines had received wine or gifts in exchange for donations and questioned her funding requests for her electorate. It was sent out before the attack. When News24 put the dirt file to him, Albanese did not deny his office created it. He refused to say whether he authorised it. He refused to explain it. He refused to apologise. Instead he pivoted to empty praise and deflected to the Coalition. This is the Prime Minister who has positioned himself as the adult in the room on political tone, while his office was running the exact opposite play. No accountability. No explanation. No apology. Just more of the same from Albanese.

ALBANESE RUSHES TO BLAME YOU for the attack on Helen Haines, before police even name a suspect. The alleged vehicular assault on the Victorian independent MP was barely an hour old when the Prime Minister jumped on the ABC and declared society itself, and the “contest for clicks” somehow responsible. No ID. No motive. No facts. Just an immediate pivot to social media and a lecture that “we all have a responsibility to turn the temperature down” This is the same Anthony Albanese who, only months ago, thundered that hard right populists must be defeated because “we owe it to history” He painted One Nation as dangerous, divisive and dishonest in language usually reserved for wartime enemies. Yet when left wing activists and high school students chanted for guillotines, threatened to “slap the shit” out of Pauline Hanson, or celebrated political violence overseas, the volume stayed low. Researchers at Harvard and Marquette have repeatedly found the strongest support for political violence comes from the young and the left, not the other way around. Real world examples from the celebration of assassinations to campus “Kirkaversary” parties, have matched the data. Political violence from any side is indefensible. What is also indefensible is a Prime Minister weaponising a crime against an MP to smear free speech, dodge accountability, and advance his Digital Duty of Care agenda while refusing to look in the mirror. If Albanese wants the temperature turned down, he can start with his own rhetoric.

BREAKING: Labor Premier Ben Carroll felt so entitled that he filled up his tank, drove off, and only “remembered” to pay after Victoria Police got involved. The Victorian Premier admitted he “forgot” to settle the bill after refuelling late Monday night while running errands in his own car. Police contacted the Department of Parliamentary Services on Tuesday night. Only then did Carroll’s office sort it out with the servo. His statement: he “found out yesterday,” fixed it straight away, and is grateful for the staff’s understanding. When ordinary Victorians forget to pay at the pump, they get a fine or a call from the station. When a Labor Premier does it, the police call Parliamentary Services and the matter quietly disappears. This is the same government struggling in the polls and facing the possibility of losing seats on November 28. Some inside Labor already fear Carroll could lose his own seat of Niddrie held on 6.7%. Filling up and driving off isn’t a minor admin error when you’re the Premier. It’s the kind of entitlement that comes from believing the rules are for everyone else. But I guess he falls under the same umbrella as Anika Wells, if you commit an offence and get caught, you can just “pay it back” and everything’s ok.

BREAKING: POLITICAL VIOLENCE ESCALATES, DAYS AFTER MP HELEN HAINES HAD BOTH LEGS SEVERED IN A “TARGETED” OFFICE ATTACK, A 56YO MAN STORMED WA LABOR MP HANNAH BEAZLEY’S OFFICE ARMED WITH NUNCHUCKS AND THREATENED HER STAFF. Police say the man entered Beazley’s Victoria Park electoral office on Albany Highway around 1:15pm Wednesday, made verbal threats while carrying nunchucks, then was arrested in Bentley. No injuries. No charges yet. Staff left shaken. Beazley wasn’t there. This comes just days after Independent MP Helen Haines was hit multiple times by a LandCruiser outside her Wangaratta office. Her husband says she has lost both legs. Driver Brendan Nugent, 43, faces charges including intentionally causing serious injury and harming a Commonwealth public official. Police say it was targeted. Two attacks on Australian MPs’ offices in days. One with a 4WD. One with nunchucks. Australia, when did this become normal?

Labor’s mid term slump is real and the numbers are ugly. Inside Canberra the chatter is getting louder. This week’s News24 Pulse has Labor MPs genuinely worried. Latest figures: Labor primary vote: 24% lowest in the poll’s history, down 10 points since the 2025 election. One Nation sits comfortably in front at 27%. The Coalition isn’t even in the race at 23%. Albanese net satisfaction is at a record low –30 with 32% satisfied, 62% dissatisfied, the worst figures of Albanese’s tenure. Two party preferred is tied 50-50 with the Coalition for the first time since the election. Paul Murray cut through it on his show: Labor is now on 24% “below a quarter, not a third” the PM’s disapproval is around 60% (higher among men). The Australian public are “filthy” about cost of living pressures and rate rises. And the old promise “a Labor government will make the cost of living lower” has come back to “bite them in the backside” Nearly two thirds of voters expect unemployment to rise. Working class support for Labor has cratered. Safe seats no longer exist. Albanese can talk about “kicking with the wind in the fourth quarter” all he likes. Halfway through the term the headwinds are still against them and voters aren’t buying the excuses. The corridors of Canberra know it. The people know it. The Pulse just confirmed it.
