I did not and would never consent to this administration running my fanart through AI and posting it. Can’t even believe I’m saying these words.

Travis Knight says that LAIKA will never use generative AI in their films.
“AI is theft. It’s the ingestion of years and years and years of human creativity and ingenuity, regurgitated back. It has no humanity. It has no spirit.”

Quote retweeting blatant engagement bait to make fun of it or to point out how stupid it is, is still giving them significantly more engagement btw.
Which in turn makes you look stupid for failing to realise that.

We are all humans first. We have good qualities & bad. We do wonderful things & make mistakes. Not everyone will be our friend, but assuming hatred from the start is always foolish. If we just saw someone as the person before the label, the world would truly be a better place

A U.S. congressman wants to change how we legally “own” video games.
Rep. Ritchie Torres has announced plans to introduce the Power To The Players Act, a bill that would direct the FTC to create rules protecting consumers who buy video games.
The proposal would give players three basic rights:
>The right to own the games they purchase, rather than simply receiving a revocable license
>The right to keep playing games after online servers are shut down, through an offline mode
>The right to transfer or resell games they own
Torres argues that if a company can take a game away simply by shutting down its servers, then the consumer didn’t really buy the game in the first place.
Torres also hopes the legislation could eventually establish a precedent for ownership rights across other parts of the digital economy:
“If you pay for it, you own it.”

Travis Knight says that AI is “really antithetical to everything we stand for at LAIKA.”
“At the center of everything we do is the artist. Stop motion wears its humanity openly and AI has no humanity.”

I took the post down because I don't have the energy to argue with people. If you don't like OOT Remake's looks that's fine but calling it AI slop is disrespectful and harmful.
And barging into convos where people are excited IS rude.

I'm glad they finally responded to the backlash.
Makes it easier to move even further away from PlayStation than I've already been.
If you're primarily a PS gamer, I hope the best for you. But I fear you'll be screwed when Sony's the only one in control of game sales.
