The Love of Allah is the Love of al-Mahdi
How do such people forget the origin and become occupied with the branch?
I would like to begin by saying that most of what was mentioned in this article is a summary of the booklet “Al Barakah wal Makarim fi Ihya Dhikr al Qa’im” by Walid Jaafar Al Sayigh.. It became clear that this booklet is rare and it reached me as a gift from someone close.. and when I searched for the author and the booklet I found no results on the internet… so I became upset because this booklet contains a very important and concise message that everyone must know, a message and an idea that changes a person’s view of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) in the time of occultation and gives him a responsibility greater than what some may think that responsibility is only when the Imam appears. And as Imam Al Sadiq (peace be upon him) said.. the zakat of knowledge is to teach it to the servants of Allah. So when I finished reading this booklet and realized that it is rare and written only in Arabic, I felt a responsibility to teach it to people and mention the important points in a concise way and translate it even into languages other than Arabic so that the writer’s message reaches the greatest number possible, with my additions that will help the reader understand the greatness of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance) and the importance of his role even in the time of occultation. And I ask Allah Almighty to reward this writer for what he wrote and may Allah grant him goodness for what he presented.

The Imams (peace be upon them) are Witnesses over the Nation
Ali ibn Muhammad narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad, from Yaqub ibn Yazid, from Ziyad al-Qandi, from Sama’ah, who said: Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) said:
Regarding the saying of Allah the Almighty: {So how will it be when We bring from every nation a witness and We bring you as a witness over these}, he said: It was revealed specifically about the nation of Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). In every generation among them there is an Imam from us who is a witness over them, and Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) is a witness over us.

The Warning of the Greatest Messenger (peace be upon him and his family) Against Misguiding Jurists
The Greatest Messenger (peace be upon him and his family) said:
The jurists are the trustees of the messengers so long as they do not enter into worldly affairs.
It was said: O Messenger of Allah! What does their entering into worldly affairs mean?
He said: Following the ruler. So when they do that, beware of them regarding your religion.

How many vile, despicable turbaned men have made their profession, sermons, and pulpits a means of promoting the religious authority [Marja'], the parties and their leaders, and Wali al-Safih [the Guardian of the Fool], mentioning every small and great matter related to them as though they were divine virtues and sacred positions that everyone must learn from and follow them... And when there is an insult, or even merely a valid, logical criticism based on Quranic evidence, Prophetic traditions, and the narrations of the Pure Progeny directed toward their groups and parties... you find them in the front lines of their defenses and fierce campaigns, glorifying and defending their idols and political parties. They do not hesitate to use the harshest and most severe words, public denunciation, and even excommunication against them... But you do not find the same interest, effort, and campaigns from them in mentioning and spreading the virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), nor do you find the same zeal and chivalry in defending the religion itself and the Ahl al-Bayt, such as Sayyeda Narjis (peace be upon her), and other symbols and sacred figures whom the Nasibis insult under the pretext of "Leave them alone, don't bother with them... or stay away from sectarianism; it is not worthy of you to respond to those who insult our religion and the Ahl al-Bayt." Their zeal is for so-and-so and so-and-so... But when it comes to defending the creed, the Ahl al-Bayt, and their oppression, their slogan becomes: "No to sectarianism."
These turbans... have they entered the worldly affairs or not?

Allah, the Bestower of Blessings upon His servants from where they know and from where they do not know
— His statement, the Exalted: {Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds} —
From Imam al-Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him):
A man came to al-Rida (peace be upon him) and said: O son of the Messenger of Allah, tell me about the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: {Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds}. What is its interpretation?
He (peace be upon him) said: My father narrated to me, from my grandfather, from al-Baqir, from Zayn al-Abidin (peace be upon them both), that a man came to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and said: Tell me about the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: {Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds}. What is its interpretation?
He (peace be upon him) said: {Praise be to Allah} means that Allah has made His servants aware, in general terms, of some of His blessings upon them, since they are unable to know all of them in detail, because they are too numerous to be counted or known. So He said to them: Say, “Praise be to Allah” for the blessings He has bestowed upon us.
{Lord of the worlds} means the groups of every kind of creation, including inanimate things and animals. As for the animals, He directs them by His power, nourishes them from His provision, protects them under His care, and manages each of them according to what benefits it. As for inanimate things, He holds them by His power. He holds together that which is connected so that it does not fall apart, and holds together that which is falling apart so that it does not join together. {And He restrains the heaven from falling upon the earth except by His permission}, and He restrains the earth from collapsing except by His command. Indeed, He is Kind and Merciful to His servants.
He (peace be upon him) said: And {Lord of the worlds} means their Owner, their Creator, and the One who directs their provisions to them from where they know and from where they do not know.

Such a one benefits nothing from his knowledge."

What Has Been Mentioned Regarding the Jurist [Faqih] and His Qualities
It is narrated from Abu Abd Allah al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) that he said:
"The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) said: Shall I not inform you of who is truly a jurist? He is one who does not make people despair of the mercy of Allah, does not make them feel secure from the punishment of Allah, does not permit them to commit disobedience to Allah, and does not abandon the Quran out of preference for something else. The Virtue of the Opening of the Book (the Basmala)
— His statement, the Exalted: {In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful} —
From Imam al-Hasan al-Askari (peace be upon him):
Al-Hasan ibn Ali (peace be upon him) said: The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) said: Indeed, {In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful} is a verse from the Opening of the Book, and it consists of seven verses, its completion being {In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful}.
[He] said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) say:
Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said to me: O Muhammad, {And We have certainly given you seven of the oft-repeated verses and the Great Quran} so He singled out the Opening of the Book for His special favor [upon me], and placed it alongside the Great Quran. Indeed, the Opening of the Book is the most noble thing among the treasures of the Throne.
Indeed, Allah, the Exalted, singled it out for Muhammad and honored him [with it], and He did not share it with any of His prophets, except Sulayman (peace be upon him), for He gave him from it {In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful}. Do you not see how He relates regarding Bilqis when she said: {Indeed, a noble letter has been delivered to me. Indeed, it is from Sulayman, and indeed, it is: In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful}?
Know that whoever recites it while believing in devotion to Muhammad and his pure family, submitting to their command, and believing in their outward and inward realities, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will grant him a good deed for every letter of it. Each good deed will be better for him than the world and everything it contains of its various kinds of wealth and blessings. And whoever listens to a reciter reciting it will have a share equal to one third of what the reciter receives. So let each of you increase in this good that has been presented to you, for it is a gain whose opportunity will not return, lest regret remain in your hearts.
