It's the offseason for current Saints, but not for some former Saints. Today we're in Northfield watching a Mya Slavin (St. Marys) and Peyton Andring (Luther) compete in massive cross country meet. Girls just about to start.
DAY #2 OF STATE MEET:
Josh opens the action making opening height in HJ
Saevian and Kate starting soon in LJ and shot.
STATE UPDATES:
--Boys 4x2 (Miles, Pedro, Jackson, Saevian) finishes 8th to snag a spot in tomorrow's finals.
--Boys 4x1 (Miles, Ryan, Jackson, Saevian) finishes 16th.
Still today: Ivan Daood in the 800 (in about 15 min) and the boys 4x4.
Congrats to Saevian and Miles!
Fun fact: one of Coach Bjornaraa's former HS athletes?
Coach Barclay.
Check out this cool story about Bud Bjornaraa- a coach with over 6 decades of experience who has made a huge impact in so many lives (and was one of the founders of True Team!)

LASTLY:
-Coach Barclay won Section 1A Girls Head Coach of the Year.
-Coach Klein won Section 1A Boys Coach of the Year
-Kris Jones, who ran our concession stand for nearly a decade (including long after her kids graduated) won Section 1A Volunteer of the Year. RICHLY deserved.
In sum, our State Qualifiers:
-Kate in shot
-Saevian in LJ
-Josh in HJ
-Ivan in the 800
-boys 4x1, 4x2, 4x4
Plus 5 new schools records (Saevian LJ, Ivan 800, Kate shot, boys 4x1, boys 4x2).
WHEW. WHAT A MEET.
