No. This is only half right.
The GOP donor, consultant, and political class are not as stupid as they pretend. They know the real reason is the Iran war, and high cost of living that has resulted from it.
But they don't want to give up neoconservatism. They want foreign wars, they want open borders. The problem for them is that the voters do not.
And so if the Republicans lose on Tuesday they are going to tell you that the problem is the Chuds, that the problem is anti-immigration, and anti-Israeli sentiment alienating voters.
They don't actually believe that, they're trying to sell the idea to the voters, so that the next time they can nominate a Mitt Romney type and get you to vote for him because unlike the other options he's electable.
Thats the lie they're trying to sell you, trying to gaslight you into believing. They know neoconservatism isn't popular, so they need to gaslight you into thinking all the other options are unelectable.
I hope Republican voters are smart enough not to fall for it, and make it clear they are not falling for it.
But the GOP donor class isn't stupid, they know they're selling you a lie.

Fellow South Carolinians — I see a lot of you saying you’re not voting, writing in Ralph, or even considering Annie Andrews because Darline wasn’t your first choice.
She wasn’t mine either. I was all in for Ralph.
But the election happened. She won. She’s the nominee.
Sitting it out or writing in somebody else is throwing your vote away. Voting for Andrews is cutting off your nose to spite your face.
We know Darline is going to vote with Trump and conservatives the majority of the time. We know Andrews will not.
Ralph is not going to be the next senator. That’s just reality.
I get the frustration. I was right there with you. But we need an R in that Senate seat.
Can’t we move on and win?l
Have we all just grown numb to the fact that we’re getting f$&@ed time and time again? Are we just going to roll over and keep accepting these lousy results put forth by the establishment?
It’s gotten to the point where some people say, “Oh well, we’ll get them next time,” only for the establishment to pull the same shyt over and over again, leaving us right back at square one.
This is borderline cowardice. How can you ever expect to make an impact and send the message that enough is enough if you keep rolling over every time? They couldn’t care less about how you feel about voting for their candidate. They just want that person in office so they can continue the grifting, corruption, and slimeball schemes.
If there are any true patriots out there, they won’t bend the knee or give in to the demands of the establishment.
And to those crying about Democrats potentially getting the seat, yes, that’s a possibility. But the people refusing to bend the knee to the establishment aren’t the ones to blame. Those are the true patriots—the ones who have standards and are willing to hold their politicians accountable.
The people you should be angry with are the SCGOP and the White House. They’re the ones who helped create this situation by pushing their preferred candidate instead of listening to the voters.
Let’s stop this foolery and accepting the same old BS time and time again.
Until you realize that both parties are part of a system that protects the political establishment, you’re going to keep committing the same insanity: expecting a different result while continuing to play by the same rules.
