📲 @sapphicflirt 💬 hi wren, it’s lucia (the italian, in case you need a little reminder.) 💬 i have a proposition for you if you’re interested/have time for some extra work.

“il est peut-être temps de reprendre l'entraînement” after paying, lu took the tote bag and nodded, giving the designer a smile. “thank you for your help, really. i think you’ll be seeing me more often here when i’m back in town again.”

“so do you speak some french as well?” she questioned curiously, searching through her purse for her wallet before pulling her card out. though she did have to go to the office on wednesday, she would make it work. “what are your opening times that day?”

“you speak german? that’s awesome.” focus shifted between the designer and the pile of clothes she was creating. she stood up straight again, back aching. “in a few days, so these will be going straight into the suitcase.”

lu divided the items in a pile of which she was going to take and which she wasn’t. more than ten items made it to the ‘buy’ pile. “people tend to treat me differently when i even utter words that aren’t english, so i’m trying to stick to it.”

“i didn’t expect so many options.” she chuckled, feeling a little like a kid in a candy store. she took them and went to try them on. after a while she came out in her own clothes again, a little out of breath. “what’s your name?”

lu ran her hands over the fabric of the pants, nodding slowly as she studied her reflection. “and it’s so comfortable too” it was like a breath of fresh air. “do you happen to have a cool pair of jeans too? maybe a dark grey wash?”

lu had tried a few things on already that she liked for sure. she was now wearing the burgundy pants with one of the tops, stepping out. “i’ve definitely already found some pieces i like.” she ran a hand through her hair, taking a look in the big mirror.

the italian quickly finished her espresso before getting up on her feet. “very dangerous to say that.” lu went around and grabbed different items until her hands were full. she took it all into the dressing room, trying on different things.

“wow now you’re giving me too many options.” lu joked a little, before pointing out a few different top options she would possibly like. “could i try some things on?”

lu continued to look through the sketchbook, amazed by the details even in drawing. “i know! that’s why i’ve avoided getting maternity clothes.” she pointed at a pair of deep burgundy colored pants. “i like those, that color is beautiful.”

“well it’s still pretty casual, so i think pants?” lu wasn’t quite sure, but now she was hoping the designer would help style her a bit. “the band mostly wears dark baggy jeans, kind of rock style outfits. i don’t need to blend in but i also don’t want to stick out too much.”

“well.. there is one little hurdle which limits by options by a lot.” lu stepped away from behind the rack so the designer could see her baby bump. “i usually just size up in any item i’d normally pick, but it doesn’t always work.” neither was it comfortable.

“i need something for an event, but i didn’t have anything in mind yet.” she gave the designer a polite smile, unaware that they were the owner/designer. “a friend actually recommended this place, so i thought i’d have a look. see if i can find something nice.”

lucia looked over at the other with an expression of a startled deer for a second before relaxing. “hi… good morning. scusa—” accidentally slipping into her first language, quickly correcting herself. “i didn’t mean to disturb you.”

the lawyer had heard of this place from a friend and with nothing better to do on this saturday morning, here she was. she hadn’t meant for her presence to disturb their work and briefly considered fleeing, but she couldn’t. fingertips touching different items gently.
