Utah Highway Patrol and Lehi officers attempted to stop a minivan traveling northbound on I-15 near mile marker 277 after it was observed driving without its lights on.
The female driver reportedly failed to stop, prompting multiple officers to join the pursuit.
Officers eventually brought the vehicle to a stop near mile marker 284 on I-15, in the area of Timpanogos Highway near Thanksgiving Point.
In the second photo, a female wearing a dress can be seen, along with officers approaching the vehicle with their weapons drawn as they work to clear it.
The reason the driver failed to stop have not yet been confirmed.

Man Accused of Driving Over 150 MPH During Police Pursuit, Laughing About Incident After Arrest
NORTH SALT LAKE, Utah — A 22-year-old man is accused of leading officers on a high-speed chase from Summit County into Davis County, admitting he drove faster than 150 mph and then laughing and joking about it after his arrest, according to a probable-cause affidavit.
Lestat Jai Allred was arrested early Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, near 500 North and Foxboro Drive in North Salt Lake. Utah Highway Patrol officers took him into custody with help from their Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter.
Allred faces charges including third-degree felony failure to respond to an officer’s signal to stop, DUI, reckless driving, open container, driving without insurance, and failing to obey traffic-control devices.
The pursuit began in the Kimball Junction area after Summit County deputies saw a black Mercedes SUV run a red light, speed through a roundabout, and ignore a stop sign. When a deputy activated lights, the SUV slowed so a female passenger could get out, but the driver allegedly took off before she fully exited. Deputies chased the vehicle west on I-80 at speeds over 130 mph before losing sight of it. The SUV continued onto I-15 northbound and the chase ended in North Salt Lake.
After the arrest, deputies reported open alcohol containers in the vehicle. Officers said Allred appeared highly intoxicated, with bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol. He refused field sobriety tests; a warrant was obtained for a blood draw.
The affidavit notes Allred had been released from jail about two weeks earlier and was on pretrial release in Davis County for felony offenses. He was wearing an ankle monitor. Authorities said he continued laughing about the pursuit despite endangering officers, other drivers, and his passenger, and they requested he be held without bail.
Charges related to the Oct. 18 incident:
• Third-degree felony: Failure to respond to an officer’s signal to stop
• Class B misdemeanor: DUI (first offense within 10 years)
• Class C misdemeanor: Open container/drinking alcohol in a vehicle
• Class B misdemeanor: Reckless driving
• Class C misdemeanor: Operating a vehicle without insurance
• Infraction: Failure to obey traffic-control devices
The charges are only allegations. Allred is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
