Ford is not stopping. He is now accelerating his hospital privatization. This summer, Ford has announced 57 new private clinics that will take more than 100,000 diagnostic tests out of local public hospitals- along with funding and staffing.

We cannot let two-tier medicare and the charging of patients thousands of dollars for surgeries & diagnostic tests to become normalized. We are on the cusp of it now. If we don't fight back, we are going to lose Public Medicare.

At stake is our single tier Public Medicare & the services and funding in our local public hospitals. Don't let Ford destroy them.

Some have suggested “privatization” to reduce wait times, but after careful research and review, it's clear that introducing more privately-funded health care does not shorten waitlists – it rearranges them.
How do we end health care wait times?

This sounds startling but it is true. While grabbing headlines saying Ontarians would never have to use their credit card, only their OHIP card, in Bill 60, @fordnation expanded private clinics & threw the doors wide open to extra charges, allowing them to upsell to patients. >>
Lots of talk about chicanery in Alberta Health contracts. In ON the opportunities for grift and thievery are baked right into Bill 60. #Alberta #onpoli @Avis_Favaro @OntLiberal @notoneseat @ONPlace4All @TDotResident @beynate @ontarionurses @OntarioHealthC

David was charged >$8,000 for cataract surgery by a private clinic. The Ford govt is doing nothing to stop these illegal user fees. Instead, they gave large volume contracts to for-profit cataract clinics. Please, look at the record on health care when you vote.

One of the lowest moments of Premier Ford was when his Health Minister quit and became a lobbyist for a for-profit surgical clinic she had directed funds to when in government. The corruption isn’t even tried to be hidden. @OntarioHealthC
1/5 Privatization takes away from our local hospitals & has the most devastating impacts on smaller, rural & Northern communities. But the Ford govt has increased funding to private clinics & hospitals by up to and over 300%.
