We've all seen videos of apes eating fruit without peeling it.
If we showed them how and gave them peeled fruit, would they notice the difference and begin doing it themselves?
I mean, she's a liberal woman - of course, she cannot be silenced.
I read that as "he is in heat in "The Jungle"."
It is finally starting to cool off here at home, and yet, I go looking for Rascal and soon after receive a communique that he is in the heat of "The Jungle".
What does this mean? How would I know? It could be anything with this animal.
All I could make out was, "Hey, I hate to cut it short but their closing in and while the drones are not as effective in this heavy canopy these barefoot bums can sure be a nasty fight on the ground. Sal is ready and the fuses are set, gotta go light'em up boss! Hey! *Radio Crackle* take the FN, it's ready to go and hot to trot!"
Before I can get out the second half of "WTH?" I hear rifle reports and he hangs up.
Well, all I can figure is he has gotten himself neck deep in jungle trouble with his buddy Sal. Rascal has been in worse scrapes before. He'll make it back, for sure.
As always we thank @SummRidge for their continued support on missions as these! Time is tight and the shots are close so get in the comments for more!
Good Luck
Godspeed

Potatoes in any form of burrito should be considered a misdemeanor.
You cannot persuade me otherwise.
Do not say these out loud.

Sheesh. 50's? That was my childhood in the 70's.
People say:
"I wish one middle-class income could support an entire family like it did in the 1950s."
Okay. Then take the entire 1950s package—not just the parts you romanticize.
• No Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, or endless subscriptions
• One small TV with 3 channels, if you're lucky
• One basic car for the whole family
• No yearly vacations or cheap flights across the country
• No smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles, or internet
• Every meal cooked at home from scratch
• Kids sharing bedrooms
• A house under 1,000 sq. ft. for a family of 4–6
• One bathroom for everyone
• Little to no air conditioning in many places
• Clothes repaired, reused, and handed down
• Eating at restaurants was an occasional luxury, not a weekly habit
The comparison isn't just income.
The average household today consumes far more space, technology, entertainment, travel, convenience, and services than the average household did 70 years ago.
That doesn't mean housing, healthcare, and education aren't more expensive today—they are.
But when people compare lifestyles across generations, they often compare a 1950s income to a 2020s standard of living.
Those aren't the same thing.
If you want the economics of the 1950s, you have to accept the lifestyle of the 1950s too.
My wife said a heptagonal pencil cup would be disturbing. So, I made one. Less weird than I expected, tbh.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

People always ask me, "Scott, when you need a timer for a short term reminder, why is it usually 4 minutes and 27 seconds?"
And I always say, "I'm glad you asked."
About 4-1/2 minutes is the optimal brewing time for Beweley's Irish Breakfast tea. I often use the microwave to time it. And, I feel sorry for the 7 button because I figure it's the least used number on the keypad.
So, 4:27 is also a timer set on my watch.

Dear Communists:
If after enjoying what's left of Gaia's beauty before capitalism ruins it, you get a tick, leave it on for at least 48 hrs before removing it. That's when they get tired & are easiest to remove.
Bonus: If it's a Lone Star tick, it will give you power by making you an Alpha Gal and you can dominate the beta men.
I find this difficult to believe. I don't make $500k/year. I remember our house in 1971. My dad made more than minimum wage.
- One small B&W TV
- No dishwasher
- No A/C
- One car
- A console stereo that was his big purchase after an unusual bonus
- Don't remember # of bedrooms, but it felt snug to me even then
You need to earn roughly $500,000 per year to have the same quality of life as a minimum wage American in 1971. This sounds crazy but it's true. People haven't done the full math yet, but they're getting there. That's the redpill where /ourguys/ will be at in 18 months.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While housing has undoubtably exceeded the rate of inflation, this claim has essentially no merit under any standard measure of inflation, wages, or living standards.
Official data show the 1971 annual avg. index is equal to:
~$13.20 per hour today
~$27,500 per year today
