Remembering Gold Star Mothers & Families
USSOCOM joins our Nation in observing Gold Star Mother’s and Family Day standing in solemn gratitude for the families of our fallen warriors. The Gold Star is a profound symbol of sacrifice, reminding us that a service member never serves alone. We honor those who have borne the heaviest burden of our freedom—families who accepted the folded flag, said their final farewells, and carry the enduring absence of their hero. The unyielding resilience of these mothers and families exemplifies the true American spirit; it is their profound strength that carries our heroes' legacies forward and indelibly inspires our Command and Nation.

Tech Tuesday has brought out the best of the defense innovation community.
Industry has shown up in an incredible way, and the volume of Tech Tuesday submissions over the past several months reflects that. We are pausing the submission process at 12:00 PM ET on 18 September for an undetermined period to review and schedule approved submissions already in the queue.
While Tech Tuesday submissions are pausing, the momentum is not. Here is how to stay engaged:
Explore our current challenges and problem sets: → events.sofwerx.org/
Be up to date on what is coming: → sofwerx.org/ecosystem
Connect with government stakeholders at the OSBP Networking Event: → events.sofwerx.org/office-of…
Learn about other avenues of doing business with USSOCOM: → socom.mil/SOF-ATL/Pages/Conn…
We know you have questions about the Tech Tuesday submission pause. Here are the answers.
Q: When will Tech Tuesday submissions reopen?
A: There is no set date at this time. The pause is open ended while the team works through the current queue. The best way to stay informed is to keep an eye on the Tech Tuesday page at sofwerx.org/tech-tuesday where updates will be shared as soon as the window reopens.
Q: I already submitted. What happens to my submission?
A: Your submission is in the queue and will be reviewed and scheduled during this pause. You can expect to hear from the team once your submission has been evaluated.
Q: Can I still submit before 18 September?
A: Yes. The submission portal remains open until 12:00 PM ET on 18 September. After that point submissions will be paused.
Q: Why is Tech Tuesday pausing?
A: The response from industry has been incredible. The volume of submissions over the past several months has grown significantly and the team wants to make sure every submission already in the queue gets the thorough review it deserves before opening the door to new ones.
Q: Is Tech Tuesday going away permanently?
A: No. This is a temporary pause to manage the current volume of submissions. Tech Tuesday remains an active and important part of how SOFWERX connects innovators with government stakeholders.
Q: I missed the deadline. What are my other options?
A: There are several ways to stay engaged with SOFWERX and USSOCOM in the meantime. Explore current challenges and problem sets on the SOFWERX Events page, sign up for the SOFWERX ecosystem to stay connected to upcoming opportunities, and learn about other avenues for engaging with SOF AT&L and doing business with USSOCOM on the SOF AT&L Connect With Us page.
Q: How will I know when submissions reopen?
A: Keep an eye on the Tech Tuesday page at sofwerx.org/tech-tuesday and follow us on LinkedIn for the latest updates. You can also sign up for the SOFWERX ecosystem at sofwerx.org/ecosystem to stay connected to everything happening across the community.
