This morning, we tracked two of the devices violently robbed from members of our team during the brutal attack in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, October 30, 2026, and the locations are deeply disturbing. One phone was traced to a location directly opposite the office of the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, while our other devices were located opposite Fajuyi Park in Ado-Ekiti. EKITI STATE GOVERNMENT’S SHAMELESS DENIAL CANNOT CONCEAL ITS COMPLICITY IN THE BRUTAL ATTACK ON @SOWORE AND HIS TEAM RESPONSE TO THE OCTOBER 31, 2026 PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE EKITI STATE GOVERNMENT Hours before more than 100 armed thugs descended on members of my team and me in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, October 30, 2026, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Governor @biodunaoyebanji, CSP Ayodele Akinlua, had already issued a chilling warning about my safety. At approximately 7:30 a.m. that morning, CSP Akinlua called Moyinoluwa Olowoyo, popularly known as Gigabytes, and warned that my safety could not be guaranteed if I proceeded with political activities in Ekiti State. Hours later, we were violently attacked, injured, and robbed by armed thugs in broad daylight. That warning was no coincidence. It was the clearest pointer to who knew the attack was coming, who authorized it, and who protected those responsible. Let the Ekiti State Government begin its explanation from there! Why was the Governor’s Chief Security Officer warning that my safety could not be guaranteed hours before armed thugs descended on us? Who authorized that call? What did the Governor know, and when did he know it? The statement issued by Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode, reeks of vitriol, political animosity, contempt, and barely concealed hostility toward my person. Rather than condemn an outrageous act of political violence, express concern for those injured or demand justice, the government insulted the victims, questioned my motives, and trivialized a coordinated armed attack as an ordinary altercation. That extraordinary display of hostility lends further credence to our allegation that the governors using elements within the Ekiti State Government were complicit in the attack. The government describes me as an "inconsequential presidential candidate." If I am so inconsequential, why was the Governor’s security apparatus monitoring my movements? Why did DSS operatives disrupt my political meeting at a restaurant? Why was a warning issued concerning my safety? And why were more than 100 armed thugs subsequently mobilized to descend on us? More importantly, the Ekiti State Government has failed to address its relationship with Sola Adenijo, popularly known as Solar, whom we identify as the leader of the armed gang that attacked us. We maintain that Sola Adenijo, aka Solar, is on the payroll of the Ekiti State Government. Remarkably, the government’s statement does not deny any relationship with him, nor does it explain the nature of its dealings with this individual. We challenge Governor Oyebanji and his government to publicly disclose whether Sola Adeniji receives payments, contracts, appointments, stipends, or any other financial benefits from the state government, directly or indirectly. A blanket denial of involvement is no substitute for answering these specific questions. We also demand the immediate preservation, recovery, and public release of the CCTV footage of the attack. The Ekiti State Government should direct the appropriate authorities to secure the complete CCTV recordings from the restaurant and surrounding premises, preserve the original files, and release the relevant footage to the public without alteration, subject to protecting innocent bystanders. Let Nigerians see what happened. Let the footage establish whether this was the so-called "altercation" being promoted by the Police and the State Government or a coordinated attack by armed political thugs sponsored by the governor, who already stated publicly that anyone who opposes the re-election of Tinubu is an enemy. We have already exposed the plot to remove CCTV recordings by security operatives. The government must explain who took possession of those recordings, where they are presently being kept, and why they have not been made public. The government cannot claim to welcome an investigation while ignoring the most important potential evidence. It is equally disgraceful that the government seeks refuge in its supposed reputation for peaceful elections. A government's self-proclaimed peaceful reputation does not absolve it of responsibility for violence committed within its territory, particularly where its own security officials issued warnings before the attack. The facts are that members of my team and I were violently assaulted, injured, and robbed. Security personnel attached to us were also attacked and disarmed. These are serious acts of criminal violence, not a public relations inconvenience to be dismissed with insults. Furthermore, the despicable press statement issued by @mkdAraoye, the lead organizer of @ikogosimarathon, banning @sowore, all significantly tells of official connivance by the state govt, the lead sponsor of @ikogosimarathon Governor Oyebanji's government must answer the questions surrounding the advance warning, the involvement of security agencies, its relationship with Sola Adenijo, aka Solar, and the whereabouts of the CCTV evidence. The Ekiti State Government cannot investigate itself through press releases, insult the victims into silence, or manufacture an alternative account of an attack that left people injured. We demand an independent, transparent investigation into the roles of the attackers, their sponsors, the Governor’s security personnel, the DSS, and any police and DSS officers implicated in the events of October 30, 2026. The government's denials will be tested against the evidence, including eyewitness accounts, communications records, financial records, and CCTV footage. We will not be intimidated, and I will not allow the Ekiti State Government to turn victims of political violence into suspects simply because we refuse to surrender our constitutional rights. Governor Oyebanji, release the CCTV footage. Disclose your government's relationship with Sola Adenijo, aka Solar. Explain the warning from your Chief Security Officer. This is a major admission that what happened was no ordinary “altercation,” as the same police initially tried to deceive the public into believing. It was a coordinated, violent attack that could have cost us our lives. We maintain that it was an assassination attempt carried out by government-sponsored thugs. But the police are still playing games! Where are the masterminds? Where is Sola Adenijo, popularly known as Solar, whom we have identified as one of those involved in coordinating the attack from the State Governor’s Office, especially the CSO to the governor, CSP Ayodele Akinlua? We have demanded that the authorities investigate his role and those of other suspected political thugs whose faces were captured by CCTV cameras at the scene. The Commissioner of Police and the @OfficialDSSNG must quit playing mind games with Nigerians. We demand an independent, transparent investigation that follows the evidence wherever it leads, including to politically connected individuals and government officials. Arrest and prosecute everyone implicated by the evidence, including the sponsors and masterminds! THE SHAME OF THE IKOGOSI MARATHON ORGANIZERS: I DEMAND INTERNATIONAL SANCTIONS AS IT IS CLEAR ORGANIZERS ARE COMPLiCIT IN DEADLY ASSASSINATION PLOT AGAINST ME Following the self-indicting statement issued by the organizers of the Ikogosi Marathon, led by Makinde Araoye, I call on @WorldAthletics (formerly IAAF), the global governing body for athletics, including road running and marathons, to immediately sanction the organizers of the #IkogosiMarathon in Ekiti State, Nigeria, and blacklist the game organizers for being complicit in the violent attacks against me and members of my team who fuels registered to partake in the competition. They must never again be permitted to organize or participate in sporting events that bring people together in the spirit of peace, unity, and healthy competition. I further call for international  sanctions against the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, and the organizers of the Ikogosi Marathon, including Makinde Araoye, for their involvement in these attacks or efforts to facilitate them. Sporting events must never become hunting grounds for political thugs, government-sponsored violence, intimidation, or assassination. Runners and other participants must be guaranteed safety, regardless of their political beliefs or affiliations. We intend to pursue further legal and measures against the organizers and the Ekiti State Government over this inhuman conduct, which endangered lives and violated the fundamental principles of sportsmanship and human dignity. The circumstances surrounding these coordinated attacks raise grave questions about the involvement of the event organizers and state authorities. I demand a thorough, independent investigation to establish the full extent of their roles and hold everyone responsible and accountable. Let it be known that nobody involved in these attacks will be allowed to escape accountability. No political office, government connection, or sporting platform should provide immunity for violence against innocent citizens. My interview today with Seun Okinbaloye on @channelstv #PoliticsToday had some intense moments. At one point, I had to call Seun out for being insensitive when he asked whether I was a threat to the government.

The political thugs allegedly sent after us by the Ekiti State Government, with the assistance of DSS operatives, did not stop at brutally attacking and injuring members of our team. They also stole their phones, wristwatches, and shoes during the attack. Through technology, we have now tracked and located some of the stolen items but the police hasn’t done anything to recover them.

The Director-General of the @OfficialDSSNG Tosin Ajayi, has been contacting media houses in Nigeria and deployed the @OfficialDSSNG officers in their social media dept , pressuring them either not to report the brutal attack on us in Ado-Ekiti or to distort their reports to downplay the severity of the assault. Let it be known that operatives of the @OfficialDSSNG at the state and some attached to the Ekiti State Government House accompanied the attackers to the scene of the brutal assault on us in Ado-Ekiti, having earlier provided them with our exact location.

The Ekiti State Police Command and the @OfficialDSSNG have seized the CCTV footage from the owner of the restaurant where we were brutally attacked in Ado-Ekiti. The attackers were captured on camera, and we’ve now learnt that the police and DSS are attempting to suppress this crucial evidence to shield those responsible. The Commissioner of @PoliceNG in Ekiti State, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, personally visited the scene of the brutal attack against us in Ado-Ekiti today. He saw firsthand the extensive injuries we sustained, yet he has the audacity to issue a despicable statement describing a coordinated, violent attack as a mere “altercation.” THERE WAS NO ALTERCATION! WE WERE ATTACKED! The Commissioner saw the injuries, witnessed the aftermath of the violence, and was fully aware of the seriousness of what happened. Yet his Command has chosen to trivialize the attack, even describing the injuries as “minor.” No wonder allegations have emerged that the Commissioner of Police himself was involved. This is despicable! Video shows the CP leaving the emergency room after observing the extensive injuries.

This is the level of infamy to which Nigeria has been subjected! Those who brutally attacked us in Ado-Ekiti today came from the Government House @ekitistategov. They are well known, and they were provided with tracking and operational support by the @OfficialDSSNG. Since our arrival yesterday, DSS operatives have been trailing and harassing us. They even threatened the manager of the first place where we ate, warning him never to allow us to use his premises again. Today, shortly after I completed an interview at MIDAS FM 90.5 in Ado-Ekiti, the thugs descended on us in a violent attack, allegedly with the assistance of the DSS. #RevolutionNow
