Washington has long been a leader in innovation and job creation. But are we losing our competitive edge? Former WA Gov. Chris Gregoire says Washington's business climate has slipped to 47th in the nation — and leaders across the political spectrum are recognizing the need for change. Hear more from Gregoire and Sen. Chris Gildon on The Elephant in the Dome. #ReturnAffordability #waleg

This is a significant endorsement in a race centered on the future of representation in South King County. Washington voters deserve to hear from candidates about the challenges facing their communities and their plans to address them. BIG NEWS ‼️‼️ The Seattle Times editorial board has officially endorsed our campaign for State Senate. Right now, I'm the only Republican endorsed by The Seattle Times. That tells you what this race is about. Families in Covington, Auburn, and Kent don't care about party labels. They care about whether the budget adds up, whether their commute gets better, and whether Olympia treats their hard-earned tax dollars with respect. I told the editorial board that we expect our families to live within their means, and we should expect our government to do the same. In my six years on the council, we've made things work even when it was tough. We never spent beyond our means, we made the hard choices when we had to — and we're stronger for it. I'm ready to bring that discipline to the State Senate. Thank you to everyone who has knocked doors, chipped in, and believed in this campaign. We're only 25 days away from bringing real change to our district and our state. Make sure your friends, family, neighbors, and YOU are making your voice heard this November. Our colleagues in the house are correct. VOTE YES ON I-645. REPEAL THE INCOME TAX!
“Trust us.” That's what they said in March. Now, Democrats are already talking about lowering the threshold to around $250,000. That’s exactly what House Republicans warned about. $1 million today. What will it be tomorrow? Vote YES on I-645 to repeal the income tax.

MUZZALL MEMO OF THE MONTH: RESPONSIBILITY It’s easy to say your vote doesn’t matter. Sen. Ron Muzzall’s latest memo makes the case for why it does count. This month, he’s talking about responsibility — not just the responsibility of those we elect, but our responsibility as citizens to participate. We have races decided by only a handful of votes. We have initiatives that generate thousands of signatures, only to see people stay home when it’s time to cast a ballot. If we want a say in the direction of Washington, we have to show up. Open your ballot. Read it. Think about it. Vote. Because voting is more than a right. It’s a responsibility we can’t hand off to someone else. Washington needs you. Read the latest Muzzall Memo for the full message. mailchi.mp/srcc/muzzall-memo…

Dubious Distinction: For the cost of doing business, Washington State has gone from 28th place to 48th place in the U.S. according to the Puget Sound Regional Council. This comes after budgets with both the largest and second largest tax increases in state history were passed by the far left and Gov. Bob Ferguson. Many of these steep new taxes targeted small business (HB 2081) and even charities, non-profits, foodbank, childcare, and health care (SB 5814). It’s straight up government greed and it’s costing us all. Former WA Governor Christine Gregoire joins a growing number of commonsense Democrats, Independents, and Republicans who recognize the far left majority in state government has a massive spending problem. WA budget policies are crippling our economy and is at the heart of our affordability crisis. It's well-past time rein in spending and use taxpayer dollars wisely. #GovernmentGreed #StopTheGreed #ReturnAffordability #waleg

Washington voters spoke clearly in 2024. Nearly 2 million Washingtonians voted YES on Initiative 2066, supporting protections for access to natural gas for homes and businesses. This week, the Washington Supreme Court struck the initiative down in a 6–3 decision, ruling that it violated our state Constitution’s single-subject requirement. The decision is a reminder that elections have consequences at every level of state government. This November, voters will choose State Senators who will help determine the direction Washington takes on affordability, energy policy, public safety, taxes, regulations, and so many other issues affecting our communities. Research the candidates. Know where they stand. And make your voice heard all the way down the ballot. Now is the time to elect Senators who will represent your voice in Olympia, not take it away. 🇺🇸 Learn more about the SRCC candidates running across Washington this November: srcc.org/2026candidates
