Students arrived at school Wednesday and discovered they were in Jurassic Park! Owen Brady himself asked for help finding TEN escaped dinosaurs! It's a good thing these students rock at both math AND maps, because all dinosaurs were safely located! @OconeeCoSchools @CFESmustangs
@prattprattpratt, I hope it is okay that we borrowed your likeness for educational purposes! Students were SO excited that you visited us!
This week students counted toilet paper squares in the classroom to create a to-scale map of our solar system, where 1 TP square = 10,000,00 km! This required a LOT of math, but it was an eye-opening visual of the inner vs outer solar system! 🧻🌌 @OconeeCoSchools @CFESmustangs

We explored chemical changes today in science! Students observed a color change reaction that is easy to do with common kitchen supplies. They revealed secret invisible messages! @CFESmustangs @OconeeCoSchools
We got to see a local newspaper from 1944 today! This student brought it to share. We saw articles about WWII battles, blockades, rationing paper, planting victory gardens, and encouraging women to vote. Loved all the connections to social studies! @CFESmustangs @OconeeCoSchools
