Odd. Every time I post an occasional wildlife picture, I lose followers. It’s no big deal, but slightly baffling. I post a lot about women’s rights, because I think men should speak up; I post about journalism, because I’m a journalist; I post about stories from far away because I’m a foreign correspondent; I post on human rights, and in particular labour rights, because that’s my specialty. But my quiet pleasure is photographing wildlife. So sometimes I share a picture I’ve taken and really like, because there’s no point being angry about everything all the time. Anyway, here’s a common crow butterfly, a member of the brush-footed butterfly family, apparently. Like, dislike, follow, unfollow. And carry on.
