Bitcoin Treasuries Weekly Update #10
Strategy added 267 ₿itcoin between 12 and 18 October for $22.1 million at $82,900, lifting the stack to 848,517. It spent far more defending its credit: 1,938,780 $STRC shares were repurchased for $193.1 million, and the board raised the digital credit repurchase programme from $2.0 billion to $3.0 billion. $STRC closed Friday at $99.36.
Strive kept stacking. A further 1,223 ₿itcoin bought between 14 and 16 October at about $81,734 takes holdings to 36,818, after 4,045 for the week as a whole. Every remaining traditional warrant has now been exercised. $SATS, its new 15% preferred, began trading on Nasdaq on Tuesday after the $630 million IPO. Next week $SATA pays its 100th consecutive dividend.
Smarter Web had a busy week. $MORE went ex-dividend on Thursday for its first weekly payment, £0.2301 per share, due on 9 November. Our ATM update showed £592,679 raised since 14 October: 1,076,000 ordinary shares at an average of £0.55, and our first 25 MORE shares sold at £100. On Friday we bought 20 ₿itcoin for £1.23 million at £61,733, taking holdings to 2,850, with a quarter-to-date BTC Yield of 2.41%.
Metaplanet's US vehicle cleared a key hurdle when Super League shareholders approved the deal, which will become Superplanet, its US-listed treasury platform. Holdings are unchanged at 44,000. Capital B announced no new purchase and still holds 3,538 ₿itcoin.
US spot ETFs finished the week with net flows of about +$301.2 million. Monday to Thursday was +$439.1 million, even after Thursday's $635.6 million outflow, the largest since June.

Sunday Shoutout 📣
Andrew’s update yesterday said it best:
“on Monday Alex and Will launched some changes to the web design packages offered by our operating businesses. I have written many times about the importance of having operating businesses alongside our Bitcoin treasury, and this is another example of the work taking place across that side of Smarter Web.
If you own a business or are responsible for online marketing, I encourage you to look at the web design services we offer. I think you might be surprised by the pricing, particularly when you consider the quality of the service and the peace of mind that comes from working with an established team. Our operating businesses serve more than 500 client websites, and I am keen to see us continue growing that number.”
So do you have or know a business that needs help with their website or digital presence?

Sunday Shoutout 📣
The operational businesses of Smarter Web and Squarebird are built around helping other businesses grow. Building websites, providing marketing services and strengthening their online presence.
Services that generate recurring revenues for SWC, with the potential to scale further over time and contribute towards covering the wider Smarter Web Group’s costs.
Just two weeks remain now until the end of SWC’s financial year, with the full-year results to follow in the months ahead.
In the meantime, if you’re a business looking for a new website, why not support a company you’re invested in?
If you know someone who could benefit from SWC’s web design or marketing services, pass it on.
And if you’ve got friends or family who might be interested in a preferred share offering a 12% annual dividend, perhaps do them a solid and introduce them to #MORE while you’re at it too…

Bitcoin Treasuries Weekly Update #9
Strategy bought 250 ₿itcoin between 5 and 11 October for $21.5 million at $86,194, taking the stack to 848,250. In the same window it repurchased 1,932,145 $STRC shares for $192.4 million. It has also conditionally declared daily $STRC dividends for November at 12%, subject to the shareholder vote on 28 October. $STRC closed Friday at $97.72 and $MSTR fell on the week after MSCI confirmed that "non-operating companies" will become ineligible for its indexes from the close of 30 November.
Strive had a huge week. It disclosed 3,311 ₿itcoin bought between 5 and 9 October at about $84,500, then another 2,822 on 12 and 13 October for $235 million at about $83,266. That takes holdings from 29,462 to 35,595 and moves it past MARA into fourth place. Warrant exercises over those two days are expected to bring in $369.2 million. Strive then priced an upsized IPO of $SATS, a new 15% preferred: 7 million shares at $90 for about $630 million gross, settling on 20 October.
Smarter Web's $MORE began trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange on Wednesday. On Thursday we bought 83 ₿itcoin for £5.2 million at £62,676, taking holdings to 2,830. We used preferred proceeds to cut the Coinbase Strategic Credit Facility from approximately £17.0 million to approximately £16.0 million, down from about £20.8 million three weeks ago.
Metaplanet issued ¥52 billion of zero-coupon convertible bonds due 2031, with a ¥339 conversion price. It bought back 73,981,400 shares (about 5.4%) at ¥261 for ¥19.3 billion, and about ¥23.6 billion is earmarked to repay its ₿itcoin-backed credit facility in November. Holdings remain 44,000. Capital B published its first-half results and holds 3,538 ₿itcoin in its strategic reserve as of 15 October. It disclosed no new purchase.
The tape stayed heavy. Spot opened the week near $83,700 and was turned back around $84,000. Wednesday's September CPI came in hot at 3.7%, and Thursday's PPI showed the biggest monthly jump since March 2022. Together they pushed price below $80,000 for the first time in a month. Friday closed around $81,500.
On-chain, price is boxed in. Buyers from 6 to 12 months ago break even near $88,000 and have turned price back twice this year. Below, the US spot ETF cost basis sits near $81,500, with the largest Binance bids at $80,000 and the True Market Mean near $78,000. Sellers capitulated again on Thursday just above $80,000, and every similar burst of loss-selling since August has come at a local bottom.
US spot ETFs saw a second straight week of net outflows, about $228.4 million.

The first full week of #MORE trading and there is certainly MORE to come but this has been a constructive first 8 days of trading.
There is huge uncertainty across the markets from AI bubble concerns to US mid term election jitters, but, as always, this is simply more short term noise.
Bitcoin is continuing to build a stronger base at these levels building energy for the next leg higher and $SWC is doing exactly the same.
A few months ago those with conviction were backing up the truck at sub 30p levels.
Others are doing the same at the 50p level today.
Conviction cannot be borrowed.

🇬🇧🇺🇸 Could $MORE be trading in the US sooner than we think?
$MORE floated on the London Stock Exchange on 14 October 2026.
When $SWC applied for its US OTC listing, it took just 29 calendar days for $TSWCF to begin trading.
Apply that same timeline to $MORE's launch date and you arrive at 12 November 2026!
But imagine opening up that 12% weekly-paying preferred equity to the enormous US income investor market who are already used to investing in prefs.
Could be a very interesting next step for $MORE! 🇺🇸

Question Andrew , on the SWC share one of the catalysts was the launch of TSWCF on the US OTCQB exchange back in June 25 it added a lot of liquidity and allowed access for our American investors, is it possible that MORE could also be listed on the same exchange to facilitate the US market?

BABY BOOMERS — you’ve spent a lifetime building your wealth. Now you want the time and income to enjoy it.
This is the last post in my series on the generations, and it’s for baby boomers — generally defined as those born between 1946 and 1964, turning 62 to 80 in 2026.
We’ve looked at younger generations building their financial futures. For many baby boomers, the question is different:
How do you turn the wealth you’ve already built into an income you can enjoy?
Many in this generation have accumulated substantial assets through property, pensions, businesses and investments.
The house bought 30 or 40 years ago. The mortgage gradually paid off. Perhaps a second property, a rental portfolio or the proceeds from selling a business.
That’s why baby boomers are so often associated with wealth.
But there’s a distinction that matters in retirement:
What you own and what you have available to spend each week are two different things.
A valuable property can look fantastic on a balance sheet. Turning that value into regular, spendable income is another question.
And for those who chose buy-to-let, the income comes with responsibilities.
You bought the property. Found the tenants. Managed the repairs. Dealt with the agents, insurance, paperwork and unexpected bills.
It may have served you very well. But there comes a point when you might prefer a little less to organise.
More freedom to go away. More time with family. Fewer things that need your attention.
That’s where $MORE offers something worth understanding.
MORE is The Smarter Web Company’s listed preferred equity. Its current dividend rate is 12% a year on a £100 reference amount per share, with weekly dividends. Your actual income yield depends on the price you pay for the shares.
So what could that look like?
Assuming a purchase price of £100 per share and the current dividend rate continuing:
▪️ £50,000 invested → £6,000 a year — approximately £115 a week
▪️ £100,000 invested → £12,000 a year — approximately £231 a week
▪️ £200,000 invested → £24,000 a year — approximately £462 a week
▪️ £250,000 invested → £30,000 a year — approximately £577 a week
▪️ £500,000 invested → £60,000 a year — approximately £1,154 a week
▪️ £1 million invested → £120,000 a year — approximately £2,308 a week
▪️ £2.5 million invested → £300,000 a year — approximately £5,769 a week
These are illustrations before tax and dealing costs, with annual income divided by 52 to show the weekly average. Actual payments follow the company’s dividend timetable.
For someone who has spent years managing property, the practical appeal is easy to see.
No tenants to manage. No letting agent to chase. No boiler to replace. No refurbishment between tenancies.
You hold shares through your investment account, and cash dividends are credited through your broker according to its processing timetable. You can then arrange withdrawals to suit your spending.
That gives you a different way to organise retirement income.
A regular contribution towards the weekly budget. Money for trips away. Meals out. Helping the children when they need it. Treating the grandchildren while you’re there to enjoy it with them.
And you don’t have to keep adding money or reinvesting every dividend.
For younger investors, reinvestment might be the priority because they’re still building their pot.
For someone who has already built theirs, taking the income and enjoying it can be the whole point.
You can hold the shares and receive dividends without having to sell part of your holding each week to generate that cash. The value of the holding will still move with the share price.
There’s also flexibility in the amount you invest. Buying another rental property usually means a substantial purchase, legal work and an ongoing management commitment. With listed shares, you can choose an allocation that fits alongside the assets and income you already have.
The larger examples show the arithmetic, rather than a suggestion to concentrate your wealth in one company. Purchases and sales also depend on market liquidity and the prices available.
You don’t need to reorganise your entire financial life to consider where something like this might fit.
Any property comparison should include rental income after expenses, the costs and potential tax of selling, and the different risks of each investment.
MORE’s dividend rate is variable and payments are not guaranteed. The company has substantial Bitcoin exposure, and your capital is at risk. Those are the terms to understand alongside the income opportunity.
For baby boomers, the attraction is what that income could give you: more choice over your time.
You’ve spent decades earning, saving, maintaining and managing.
Perhaps the next chapter involves a little more spending, travelling, helping and enjoying.
Across this series, every generation has had different circumstances, different pressures and a different amount of time ahead of them.
But wanting more freedom and a better financial future is something we can all understand.
You built the wealth. It’s reasonable to want more life from it.

$MORE – A GENERATION-BY-GENERATION LOOK AT INVESTING
Day 3: Generation X (Born 1965–1980, aged 46–61)
Over the past two days I've looked at Generation Z and Millennials, exploring their financial challenges, investing habits and why $MORE might appeal to them.
Today it's Generation X.
Many people in this generation have spent decades working, raising families, paying mortgages and hopefully building some financial security along the way.
But I think Generation X faces a particular challenge when it comes to retirement, and it's something that doesn't always get enough attention.
Generation X has, in many ways, fallen between two very different pension eras.
Many Baby Boomers benefited from generous final-salary pension schemes, where retirement income was largely determined by salary and years of service.
But during Generation X's working lives, many private-sector employers began closing these schemes to new employees, moving towards pensions where the individual carries much more of the investment risk.
And here's something worth remembering.
Automatic enrolment into workplace pensions didn't even begin in the UK until October 2012, with the rollout taking until 2018.
By then, many Generation X workers were already in their thirties, forties or even early fifties.
That means some missed years, potentially decades, of the automatic pension contributions that younger generations now benefit from.
Of course, many Gen X workers did have good workplace pensions, but others were left having to make their own retirement arrangements much later in their careers.
I think this is an important distinction.
For a generation now approaching retirement, there isn't necessarily another 30 or 40 years available to make up for lost pension contributions.
And that's why I think investments capable of generating income deserve serious consideration.
Which brings me to $MORE.
For anyone unfamiliar with it, $MORE is a perpetual preferred equity issued by The Smarter Web Company.
It currently carries a variable annual dividend rate of 12%, calculated against a £100 reference amount per share, with dividends scheduled weekly.
It's the possibility of reinvesting those weekly dividends that I find particularly interesting.
Rather than spending the income, you use it to purchase additional shares. Those shares potentially generate further dividends, which can themselves be reinvested.
Over time, this creates the potential for compounding.
Let's consider two very different situations.
SCENARIO 1 – INVESTING £100 A WEEK INTO A STOCKS & SHARES ISA
Imagine you're 45 or 50 years old and decide to start putting £100 a week into $MORE through your Stocks & Shares ISA.
That's £5,200 a year, well within the current £20,000 annual ISA allowance.
You reinvest every dividend and continue contributing £100 each week.
Assuming the dividend remains at 12%, the shares can always be purchased at £100 and the dividends are reinvested weekly, here's what the mathematics suggests.
AFTER 5 YEARS
Total invested: £26,000
Potential portfolio value: £35,571
Potential weekly dividend: £82
AFTER 10 YEARS
Total invested: £52,000
Potential portfolio value: £100,340
Potential weekly dividend: £232
AFTER 15 YEARS
Total invested: £78,000
Potential portfolio value: £218,275
Potential weekly dividend: £504
AFTER 20 YEARS
Total invested: £104,000
Potential portfolio value: £433,019
Potential weekly dividend: £999
Think about that final example.
Someone investing £100 a week over 20 years would have contributed £104,000 of their own money.
Under these assumptions, reinvested dividends could have helped build a portfolio worth approximately £433,000, potentially generating almost £1,000 every week if they stopped reinvesting.
And because the investment would be held within a qualifying Stocks & Shares ISA, that dividend income could be withdrawn free of UK income tax under current rules.
For somebody approaching retirement, that's a potentially substantial additional income stream.
But let's consider another situation that I suspect many people in Generation X will recognise.
SCENARIO 2 – WHAT IF YOU INHERITED £100,000 TODAY?
Perhaps you've inherited money from a parent or relative.
You've received £100,000 and don't immediately need it for living expenses.
What if you invested that money into $MORE and reinvested every dividend until retirement?
Using exactly the same assumptions as before, here's how the figures develop.
AFTER 5 YEARS
Original investment: £100,000
Potential portfolio value: £182,086
Potential weekly dividend: £420
AFTER 10 YEARS
Original investment: £100,000
Potential portfolio value: £331,553
Potential weekly dividend: £765
AFTER 15 YEARS
Original investment: £100,000
Potential portfolio value: £603,712
Potential weekly dividend: £1,393
AFTER 20 YEARS
Original investment: £100,000
Potential portfolio value: £1,099,274
Potential weekly dividend: £2,537
That final number is particularly striking.
In this hypothetical scenario, £100,000 invested today could become approximately £1.1 million over 20 years.
And if the 12% dividend rate were still being paid at retirement, that portfolio could potentially generate over £131,900 a year in dividends, before any applicable taxes.
It's important to understand that these are mathematical projections, not expected or guaranteed returns.
They assume two decades of uninterrupted dividends at 12%, a constant £100 share price, immediate reinvestment, no fees and no losses. All of those assumptions could prove unrealistic.
There's also an important ISA distinction.
You couldn't simply put the entire £100,000 inheritance into your own ISA in one tax year. The current annual allowance is £20,000, so you would need to move money into an ISA over multiple tax years, subject to future allowances.
Investing the full £100,000 immediately outside an ISA could result in dividend taxes that materially reduce the figures above.
Nevertheless, I think both examples demonstrate why dividend reinvestment deserves attention.
And there's another important factor for Generation X: inflation.
People approaching retirement need to think about what their money will actually buy in 10 or 20 years.
Simply maintaining the same amount of money isn't necessarily enough if everyday living costs continue rising.
An income-producing investment that allows dividends to be reinvested could potentially help build a larger portfolio before retirement.
Of course, $MORE isn't inflation-linked, and a 12% dividend today doesn't guarantee the same rate in the future.
What about the risks?
$MORE is an equity investment, not a bank deposit.
The dividend rate is variable, payments can be suspended, the share price can decline and the company has redemption rights. Its Bitcoin treasury strategy also introduces financial risks. Concentrating a substantial amount of retirement savings in one issuer would increase those risks considerably.
The weekly dividend entitlement is based on the £100 reference amount per share, not necessarily the price paid in the market.
But I believe $MORE gives investors something genuinely interesting to research: a preferred equity designed around regular cash distributions, with the potential to reinvest those distributions while building towards retirement.
And that brings me back to Generation X.
Some people will be able to invest £100 a week. Others might receive an inheritance, sell a property or release capital from a business.
The amounts and circumstances will be different, but the question is similar.
How could the money available today be put to work to create an income later in life?
For those who understand the structure and accept the risks, I think $MORE deserves consideration in that conversation.
Particularly for a generation where many didn't benefit from decades of automatic pension saving or the final-salary retirement arrangements enjoyed by some of their predecessors.
Because reaching retirement with investments capable of generating regular income could provide something particularly valuable.
More financial freedom and more choice over how you spend your time.
Tomorrow: Baby Boomers.
For many, retirement has already arrived, so I'll be looking at $MORE from a different perspective: generating weekly income from capital already accumulated, without needing to wait another 10 or 20 years.
