FARM ATTACK: Another South African farmer attacked and brutally tortured on his farm this week.
Cattle farmer, Donovan Marx, from the North West province, had his ears cut off on Wednesday morning during a farm attack.
He was also shot in the shoulder and stabbed (with a sharp object) in the leg.
And, for the umpteenth time, as far as I can determine, not a single article on any English media platform about it. This gross coverage disparity between the Afrikaans and English media when it comes to farm murders is what makes it possible for so many politicians and commentators to get away with their disgusting farm murder denialism.
You know what's even more infuriating? History and research shows, if the victim was black and the torturers were white, we would see this story on every front page and news channel for weeks. Debates, panel discussions, political party statements - the works! The president would even come out and condemn the attack.
Again, I refuse to accept the twisted, psychopathic standard that dismisses a farmer having his ears cut off as "just normal crime."
Not big into Halloween. But I am reading Dracula. Gotta say as good as the classic movies are, the book is better. Love how Dracula can't pass the cross & Mina, who is shortchanged in the movies. No offense to our Star Wars Drac actor- Dooku

There was once a shepherd who found a wolf caught in a snare at the edge of his pasture.
The wolf begged to be freed.
“I was hungry,” it said. “That is all. Spare me, and I will remember your mercy!”
The shepherd cut the rope.
The next night, three lambs were gone.
Again the shepherd found the wolf. Again it pleaded. Again the shepherd convinced himself that mercy was proof of his goodness.
By winter, half the flock was dead.
An old farmer finally asked him, “Why do you keep freeing it?”
The shepherd answered, “Because I refuse to become cruel.”
The farmer looked at the empty field and said, “Then understand what you have done. You were not merciful to the wolf. You were cruel to everything that trusted you to keep them safe.”
That’s the lesson.
Mercy without judgment isn’t virtue. When someone openly intends to destroy what has been entrusted to you, endless forgiveness doesn’t make you righteous. It makes everyone behind you pay for your vanity.
Just watched the cartoon where Goomy is scared of Dedenne at first. Said its because it's a fairy type. This surprised me because in Pokemon Sleep its only listed as electric. Though its listed as both in Go...
Given its trending, I will point out Lucas’s idea was that Luke would self esile to meditate on the force. Not to cut himself off from it, or his friends. It was a sign of taking time out to grow, not to give up. Even his treatment is better than their rewrite.

Happy 40th birthday, Redwall!
"Cluny's voice shook as he addressed the nightmare visitor. 'Who are you?' The Warrior stepped forward into the daylight. Sunrays glinted diamond-like off his sword.
'I am that is!'"
Reading the Horse and His Boy and Edmund’s attitude on Corin in battle, I wonder how he remembers he was a boy himself in the battle against the White Witch.

cautiously logs in to swtor because as annoyed as I am with them, I don't want to rule out returning to my characters. I can safeguard most of the names logging in I think. Maybe not all. But most.
Pokemon Sleep if finally working again! Hooray! Snorlax woke hungry. I was lower than I wanted on ingredients since I couldn't log in all day. But the big guy at last got fed.
Mimiku did a good job leading the team in sneaky snacking to pick up the slack.
team leader Mimiku is ready for sleep notification though pokemon sleep is still down. I shall set it to sleep and hope for the best, while preparing for the worse with a backup alarm.
😳I just realized ... pokemon sleep is my ALARM clock. I don't even know if I put it to sleep if it'll wake me or will they still be working on it!
Its almost bed time. And my poor snorlax hasn’t eaten since breakfast and pokemon sleep is still down. All day!
