With trust in the Canadian judiciary eroding, Chief Justice Wagner has an opportunity to show Canadians he is serious about earning it back. Recusing himself is the right thing to do, and the entire country knows it whether they supported the Freedom Convoy or not.
Justice must not only be done; it must also be seen to be done.
@ChrisBarber1975
Can Canadians expect an impartial hearing when the Chief Justice has already publicly condemned the Freedom Convoy?
In this column, John Carpay argues that Justice Richard Wagner’s past remarks raise serious questions about judicial impartiality and why he should recuse himself from the Emergencies Act appeal.

Far too many men live by the mantra "I would die for my family."
That is the default setting of being a man. You should expect 0 accolades.
Instead, try living for them.
Be present.
Be patient.
Be persistent.
You're building a legacy whether you know it or not.

There was once a fortress whose walls had begun to crack.
For years, the men inside held conferences about the cracks. They wrote reports about the cracks. They promoted people who had become very good at explaining why the cracks were manageable.
Then one day, a few men stopped talking about the wall and started rebuilding it.
They climbed into the broken places themselves. They hauled stone. They changed the design. They angered people whose careers had been built around maintaining the old wall exactly as it was. Slowly, against resistance, the fortress began to change.
Then the governors became nervous.
The work was becoming visible. Important people were watching. So someone suggested that, for credibility, the rebuilding should be handed to the senior masons who had spent their entire careers maintaining the original wall.
After all, they had rank, titles, and the proper credentials. They looked right standing on the battlements.
So the builders were told to step aside.
The old masons arrived, inspected the new work, nodded gravely, and began restoring the fortress to standards everyone already understood.
Soon the walls looked respectable again.
And when they cracked in exactly the same places, everyone was shocked.
That is the danger with reform. Institutions often say they want change right up until change starts looking unfamiliar. Then they reach for the safest face in the room and call it credibility.
But if the people who built the old wall are always considered more credible than the people willing to rebuild it, the wall was never really being reformed.
It was simply being repainted.

There’s a generation a lot of people forget exists. We were born at the tail end of the Boomers, but we are not culturally the same as people born in the 40s and early 50s. We are Generation Jones.
And honestly, it explains a lot.
We grew up in a world that still felt fundamentally analog, but we were young enough to be dragged headfirst into the digital revolution. We are the bridge generation between rotary phones and smartphones, between slide rules and AI, between Walter Cronkite and algorithm driven media.
We remember when there were only a few television channels and the entire country watched the same thing at the same time. We also adapted to the internet, email, forums, social media, streaming and now artificial intelligence. We lived before and after the technological singularity hit everyday life.
That is not a small thing.
People born in the 40s came of age in a post World War II America that was still industrial, deeply hierarchical and institutionally stable. Their formative years were shaped by the Cold War, Vietnam, the civil rights era and a society where information moved slowly.
Generation Jones came later. We inherited the aftermath of all of that.
We were the kids who watched Watergate destroy blind trust in government. We watched manufacturing begin to collapse. We saw divorce rates explode. We were the first truly latchkey generation in massive numbers. We learned independence early because many of us had to.
We grew up with one foot in old America and one foot in whatever this new thing was becoming.
We played outside until the streetlights came on but we also learned DOS commands. We learned cursive and keyboarding. We had card catalogs and Google searches. We went from vinyl records to cassette tapes to CDs to MP3s to streaming in one lifetime.
We remember maps. We remember memorizing phone numbers. We remember life before GPS and before every human interaction became filtered through a screen.
And because of that, I think Generation Jones developed a very unique perspective. We are adaptable because we had no choice but to adapt. We learned technology as adults instead of being born into it. We remember a slower world but were forced to survive in a rapidly accelerating one.
That creates a very different mindset than either older Boomers or younger Gen X and Millennials.
A lot of us also reject the caricature people now associate with “Boomers.” We were not buying houses for the cost of a sandwich in 1965. The interest rate on my first house was over 14% and that was after buying down a point. Many of us got hit by recessions, outsourcing, pension collapses and economic instability just like younger generations did. We watched promises evaporate in real time.
We understand older generations because we were raised by them. We understand younger generations because we had to evolve alongside them.
That’s why the Jones generation often feels culturally homeless. We are rarely discussed, rarely defined and usually lumped into categories that don’t actually fit us.
But we exist.
We are the human transition point between the industrial age and the digital age.
And frankly, there will probably never be another generation quite like us again.

With the release of the Fauci Diaries, it’s clear that the Canadian Truckers were right to push back against the unconstitutional, unlawful, and unscientific mandates that stripped millions of their God given freedoms.
It’s revealing that the truckers and their supporters are the only ones being punished.
FREEDOM CONVOY 2022 (NOW 2026?)

Replying to @BrumPolice
The incident has been reviewed, and we have no concerns over the officer's actions and we are satisfied that they were reasonable and proportionate in the circumstances.
We would ask that footage is not further shared to allow the legal process to take its course.

You can now read the Rape Gang Inquiry report on the link below.
static1.squarespace.com/stat…
From Scotland to London, children were raped, trafficked, tortured, and murdered.
Children as young as four years old were passed on and sold by their own mothers to men to be raped.
Children endured decades of trafficking, filmed blackmail, "red rooms" of torture, animal rape, and witnessed murders of other girls. They were subjected to extreme violence including penetration by objects, strangulation, and backstreet abortions.
Pure evil has been allowed to continue since as early as the 1950s. The majority of perpetrators were Muslim men, and the people paid to protect these children didn’t just turn a blind eye; some were directly involved in the abuse and rape.
As we head into Stage 3 of the inquiry, we will be naming those individuals involved and pursuing private prosecutions.
So far, the inquiry has held two weeks of hearings in London, initiated multiple criminal investigations, taken legal action against dozens of services, collected files and evidence, and continues to give survivors and families a platform.
Some survivors are still being ignored and waiting for investigations to open. The NCA have still not responded to us and the interest of the NPCC is to safeguard the people we intend to name.
I would like to thank MP Rupert Lowe for starting the inquiry, our team, all participants, the donors who made this possible, and, of course, the public for supporting us.
Our work is far from over.

It should alarm every Canadian that the primary use the Liberals have made of their new, backroom, bribe-bought majority has been to ram through legislation that censors the internet, spies on citizens, and lays the groundwork for a virtual surveillance state.

Please don't lie on Twitter.
Your scheme forces adults to provide ID to get on social media to prove they're not children.
You're using kids as an excuse to track adults.
And we remember you supported seizing bank accounts during the trucker convoy: theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…
Today, our government introduced new legislation to protect our kids online. Canada's Safe Social Media Act will hold social media and AI platforms accountable, make them safer, and restrict access to social media for children under 16.
More and more kids are suffering from anxiety, depression, self-harm, and exploitation. To keep our kids safe, we have to ensure that our laws keep up with technology.

Similar laws elsewhere (e.g., Australia’s attempts) have shown the same issue: age-gating often leads to ID/biometric collection for everyone. childrenofthestreet.com and ultimately a major privacy issue
