Nalanda University and HARI University (Heartfulness Academy of Research and Innovation), Hyderabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday on the sidelines of the 25th IASSI Annual Conference at Nalanda University, Rajgir. The MoU was signed by Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor, Nalanda University, and Professor Narsireddy Malgireddy, Vice Chancellor, HARI University, in the presence of Professor S. Mahendra Dev, Chairman, Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM). Rooted in mutual understanding and goodwill, the partnership seeks to strengthen intellectual, cultural and historical ties through collaboration across academic disciplines. Key areas include joint research supervision and teaching programmes, postdoctoral research, joint conferences and publications, exchange of faculty, research fellows and students, and sharing of academic literature and resources. A delegation of 55 Bhutanese students from Nalanda University, led by Student Representative Mr. Tshering Phuntsho, will participate in Project 108 at Gelephu Mindfulness City on 1 November 2026. Nalanda University had the honour of welcoming Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, Justice V. Kameswar Rao, accompanied by his wife, to its campus. Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, extended a warm welcome to them. The visit included an interaction with faculty members and staff, during which Prof. Chaturvedi apprised Hon’ble Chief Justice of the University’s academic activities, community engagement programmes and other initiatives. Nalanda University inaugurated its university-wide Research Methodology Course today, an interdisciplinary initiative to strengthen research aptitude, critical thinking and methodological understanding among students.
