These facts are almost impossible for people to accept because they are so shocking….
1. Narcissists/psychopaths/coercive controllers do not have the capacity to love their own children.
2. N/p/cc have prefrontal cortex and amygdala brain anomalies which means they don’t have emotions like everyone else, hence no love.
3. N/p/cc may tend to their children to avoid jail, as part of a front of ‘goodness’ they project, as an extension of themselves (they look better if their kids succeed) or to ‘win’ the children away from the other parent because they often get a kick out of destroying the other parent, but these actions are not based on love.
4. Up to 10% of the population could be n/p/cc so that is a lot of children at risk.
5. Often the n/p/cc parent abuses and character assassinates to all family and friends just one child and engage positively with other children.
6. Often the n/p/cc parent chooses one child to manipulate such that they always support the n/p/cc parent.

There's no way to say this that doesn't sound like egotism, but man, it's lonely to live in this era. If you wrestle with moral and political questions seriously, and if you find you have to let go of beliefs you cherished most of your life, it's really goddamned lonely.
It makes you unpopular. Very unpopular. That's OK, and it probably points to a need in me to stop investing so much in being liked. I get it. Life humbles you.
But it's really lonely.
