It's #NationalPoisonPreventionWeek, and according to the Academy of Pediatrics, each year, approximately 2.4 million people- more than half under 6- swallow or have contact with a poisonous substance.
It is always a good idea to store all medications up, away and out of sight. However, to ensure that no kids climb on your counter, or teens pilfer through your medicine cabinet- storing medications in a locking prescription vial can help to prevent an accidental poisoning.
