Graphical realism in video games really sucks. Imo games with “aged” graphics feel much more timeless precisely because they lie in that sort of uncanny valley. It’s like entering a dream world and that made the sense of escapism much more profound.
They should have been converted to Islam by the Mughals or to Christianity by the British. Either one would have been better than what they have now.
