𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗳𝗶 When you hear Ahlul 'ilm talking, their speech is recognisable due to it being filled with 'ilm, principles, calmness and hikmah. One of the Salaf, 𝗜𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗶𝗯𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱: "𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿, 𝗶𝗳 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀, 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲. 𝗜𝗳 𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲" [1]. The people of knowledge know when to speak, what to speak with and what audiences are suitable for what type of speech. Particularly in affairs to do with refutations, warnings, criticism, and praise. This something one can recognise in their speech, it is as 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝘂'𝗮𝗱𝗵 (radiallāhu 'anhu) 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱: "𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 (𝗯𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱)" [2]. The Scholars don't use mathematics and algebra to justify criticism or praise. "If you speak against him, then what about this one who spoke about that one, and what about x + y and z". This is sadly not knowledge, nor is it how our Scholars dealt with these issues. This is the type of gymnastics that pleases the people of Tamyī', and serves as smoke and mirrors and as a pure diversion tactic away from sound principles and away from the speech of Ahlul 'ilm. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗶 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟮 𝗼𝗿 𝟯 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀! We as Salafis don't need to appease internet audiences and re-invent what was already known and already established.
