Honored to be @AethrMusik's People's Choice Breakthrough Artist 2026, and I wanted to get a few sincere thoughts down for fellow creators - be it music, writing, or film ... I released Undone almost exactly one year ago. It was pretty raw, I was learning a lot, and took a shot. One of my first bits of feedback was from a friend who said, "You did something that took courage, and I'm not sure how I feel about it." My man @GrimfelOfficial was a huge source of support and inspiration in getting me started, and he still is. I just kept going and learning. The White Belt mentality - you can always learn and don't compare yourself. I remixed and remastered that album which is where this version of Never Be Undone sits. If I stayed afraid of releasing that OG track because it "wasn't ready" or I felt "I'm not good enough" it would have remained an unheard "What If." Muzzling the potential of my own work because I was afraid of handing it to an audience. Self-imposed self-silence. And ... I know you're probably sitting on some of those unheard, unread, or unwatched "What Ifs" of your own that you muzzled for whatever reason feels valid in your head and your heart. All I want is for you to un-muzzle yourself and let people feel the real you. A year ago I was tinkering with music and tinkering with AI. 12 months later I'm an award-winning filmmaker with my work being screened in multiple countries, festival nominations and wins under my belt, a funded Kickstarter to bring all of the Alyte Universe physically into people's hands, and a Breakthrough winner. But none of that would have happened if I didn't drown out the imposter syndrome voice by saying, "Here, I made something. Listen," just a little louder. I've earned my best-seller mark as an author in 2024 and 2025, I've earned the award-winning filmmaker nod this past February, and it's incredible to now have the music recognized as a Breakthrough People's Choice winner. I set out to prove that as a storyteller you aren't confined to one lane arbitrarily told it exists by someone who was afraid to try to walk past it. Question why the boundary exists... Then walk right past it whistling the melody to your own song. Thanks to everyone that went to bat for me.
