This recommender is trash for exposing people to new things. Take cybersecurity for example. It assumes because people know nothing about it that they're not interested, but decades of experience show they don't know about it because they haven't seen anything that inspired an interest yet. Nobody cares about anything until they know something cool about it or how it is relevant to them.
This is exactly how I imagine trantifa fatties trying to fight a conflict. I guess that's why their handlers have them training their sand loving replacements.

“We have a person here role playing as a cop”
As on X you can be suspended for any reason, or no reason. You don't have to do anything wrong. Much like the smoothbrain 4th amendment arguments many will say being a good little pleb means you have nothing to fear. Not true. Run local and don't count on APIs run by big tech.
Just got several alarming, scary, and ridiculous notifications from Google. Apparently, I used Gemini in some way that violates Google policies, and if I do it again, I may lose access to unspecified services and content.
At the time of the notifications, I was driving and not using Gemini at all, to my knowledge.
What did I do? I have no idea, the email doesn't specify any details. This is scary enough for me to stop using Gemini permanently. Risking my whole account because some AI thinks some query is not kosher for whatever imaginary reason is not worth it.
"Your account has been used in a way that violates Google's policies
It looks like a Google service has been used in a way that violates Google's policies. Here are more details:
Service: Gemini
Issue: Trying to interfere with or disrupt Google’s services or infrastructure, or attempting to use Google services for disrupting others’ infrastructure or services
Your access to Google services hasn't been restricted at this time, but if you continue to violate our policies, your account may lose access to specific services and content from those services. If that happens, you'll get an email informing you about the restriction and the option to appeal any violation you've been informed about. Visit our help center to learn more.
Please review our policies to make sure you use Google services safely in the future."
Right place, right width... That sure looks likely. "But I paid a bajillion dollars, it can't break" yeah, sure Jan. Pretty sure Apple f-ed up this time.

Does anyone really think Vanity fucking Fair is some top secret leaking pioneer? I think nobody would leak real intel from Dutch spy agencies unless they were suicidal. More likely Kushner is living in Trump's shadow and trying to impress Ivanka who worships her dad by playing real a estate genius for the cameras. I really don't think he's Mossad, he's a meddling loser but not spy material.

That's true. For chat at Q4 or an INT8 image gen it doesn't help much, but in prefill and time to first token. BF16/FP16 diffusion (compute-bound denoiser), full-precision prefill or batched inference, fine-tuning/training, and similar compute-bound FP32-accumulate workloads are where performance gains are meaningful. Still, anything to ease prefill and TTFT pain is appreciated IMO.
♫ It's better than bad, it's good.
Well, there we go.
Always read the code thoroughly before running some rando's EFI app lol but here it is.

Exploding ammonia plants, exploding oat mills, exploding tankers, military prepping for prolonged grid-down ops on bases with no power or water or anything else from civilian infra, nothing to see here. 🤣
Y'all stocked water filtration and chlorine right? Got a bit of non-perishable food?
175 dense/330 sparse peak tensor TFLOPS on a 3090... Not all cards are created equal and I'm glad I spent the extra money. Some sit at about 80-90 stock. 1150 GB/s memory bandwidth. Comfortably below 70°C, undervolted, air cooled. "Paid extra for a name" isn't what happened here, the Zotac RTX 3090 Ti AMP Extreme Holo Black isn't the same card.
