If giving OKC…(who rolled the Spurs and the Nuggets when healthy)…a pass…because their second & third best players AND their best two defenders are out…is an excuse…then yes.
ISU throwing a punch when you’re up by 6, leading to a possible game winning TD on the next play, is all time dumb.
THEN Wyatt Young has to be aware that the refs are on edge after the punch! You can’t take the risk of jawing with anyone after that TD. Just gifted ISU the ball at the 39yd line!
THEN in one play, ISU is in FG range.
