A few nights ago at the NCNW plenary in Georgia, I had the opportunity to share my story as a Black and Native woman from Ardmore, Oklahoma, running for the United States Senate.
I spoke about winning my primary and runoff despite being outraised 6 to 1, the legacy of women like Clara Luper, and what it means to potentially become Oklahoma’s first Black woman U.S. Senator.
They know about us, Oklahoma! Georgia is watching, and Oklahoma’s story is being heard beyond our state lines.

Pastor Nalwamba, a 78-year old Coloradan who has spent decades living and preaching in America, was released from ICE custody this past week after 13 months of detainment.
ICE didn’t show a shred of human decency, not even providing him a wheelchair even though he was unable to walk.
We met with Pastor Nalwamba to hear his story. We’ll keep fighting until ICE is held accountable for their reign of cruelty.

Folks, Clay Fuller already has the job. Before he asks you for another two years, he ought to answer one simple question: What have you done for us?
What have you done to make our bills easier to pay? To protect our healthcare? To give our communities a say when a data center wants to move in next door?
Those aren’t trick questions. That’s the job.

Yesterday, out canvassing, we met a 78-year-old veteran. When he learned about our campaign he knew he needed to go vote immediately. He didn't have a ride, but found a way to the polls. He wanted his voice heard.
