I have since bought multiple more times and have built a position of 125 contracts on the Qs. Depending on how deep we go I may be retiring by the end of next week

I’ve been red pilled, black pilled, white pilled, clear pilled. All the pills. I don’t even know which one this is, but it’s one of the strongest ones I’ve had in a long long time. The desperation in his voice. You can see the sight of his kids in his eyes when he says he’s supposed to be home with them. You can see the math he’s doing in his head as he calculates how much money he has left, and how much he needs for his mortgage, and when it’s due. What the hell is the American dream anymore? Is this what it’s about? Is there anyone who would say this guy isn’t working his ass off? For what? So that 25% of his income can go to a government that wastes it on a bunch of shit he didn’t vote for? Subsidizing the food he stocks grocery stores with for people who don’t work a 1,000th of how hard he works to buy groceries with EBT cards that he pays for, which then drives up the cost of groceries for him and his family that he pays for out of his paycheck because he’s doing it the right way. This entire system is shit. It’s shit. There is no nicer way to put it. It is dog. shit. This guy should be working a 9-5 at a job that gives him dignity so that he can be at home with his kids at a decent time. Instead he’s some jerk off’s content. His stressed out, end of his rope reaction is some asshole’s income. This is bleak stuff. Absolutely bleak.

The biggest losers in this country work at Ivy League schools
This is so incredibly lame. And every Princeton freshman was required to sit through this during orientation.

Just had a double Steak ‘n Shake burger for breakfast and lemme tell ya - best fast food burger I’ve ever had. No seed oils and made right after ordering. And for $6.50 A1 stuff from Steak ‘n Shake big fan

Trading is one of the only careers where you can make $10,000 in a couple of hours and have nobody around you truly understand what just happened... Your family knows you make money, but they don’t understand how a few candlesticks on a screen can fund their lifestyle Your friends think you’re gambling Nobody sees the years spent studying charts, the losses, the discipline, or the hours spent alone trying to master your craft Trading can give you freedom BUT It can also be one of the loneliest games in the world

How common is CTE among NFL players? A new study out today puts it at about 3 in 4. Researchers estimate that 75% of NFL players who died between 2008 and 2023 had CTE, a degenerative brain disease caused by repeated hits to the head. It’s linked to memory loss, depression, violent mood swings, impulsive behavior, and eventually dementia. It gets worse over time, and right now it can only be diagnosed after death. A 2017 study found CTE in 110 of 111 donated NFL brains (99%). A study in August said “at least 25%.” Both were off in opposite directions. The 99% only counted donated brains, and families of struggling players are far more likely to donate. The 25% counted every player who didn’t donate as CTE-free. Today’s study is the first real attempt to estimate the actual rate across all 2,362 players who died in that window, not just the 396 whose families donated. The researchers measured the donation bias directly: families of players with cognitive symptoms were about 5x more likely to donate. They adjusted for that, and the estimate still came back at 75%. Under the most conservative assumptions, it’s 64%. Even if those families were 20x more likely to donate, it would still be over 40%. For reference, CTE shows up in only 1% of brains in general-population brain banks. This means being an NFL player turns one of the rarest brain diseases into the expected outcome. The risk also scales with exposure. Earlier research from the same group found the odds of CTE roughly doubled with every 2.6 years of football played. Important caveats: CTE on autopsy doesn’t always mean symptoms, though an estimated 27% of these players also had dementia. And a 2012 study found former NFL players were 3x more likely to die of neurodegenerative disease than the general public, and nearly 4x more likely for Alzheimer’s and ALS. The study was led by Boston University and funded by the NIH and the Concussion & CTE Foundation. Co-author Chris Nowinski co-founded that foundation and advises the NFL Players Association. The NFL points to Guardian Caps as progress, but the case for them is thin. They’re only required in practice. In lab tests, one cap absorbs about 10% of impact force, and that roughly doubles only when both players wear one. Only about 20 total NFL players wore them in games last season. And Chris Nowinski, one of the study’s authors, has said they won’t protect against CTE anyway, because CTE comes from years of repeated hits, not just concussions. Anti-Vax argument: “The manufacturer’s own package inserts list aluminum adjuvants, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80, residual DNA from aborted fetal cell lines, and other ingredients. The CDC and FDA publish the same lists. Independent physicians, immunologists, and researchers (many of whom were previously pro-vaccine) have documented adverse event signals, inadequate long-term safety data, lack of true inert placebos in key trials, and conflicts of interest in the regulatory process. These are primary sources and published papers, not slogans. Evaluate the risk-benefit yourself.” Pro-Vax argument: “You’re an uneducated conspiracy theorist. What medical degree do you have? Shut up and vaccinate or stay away from the rest of us. I hope your kids get sick and die of a preventable disease so the lesson sticks.”
