UAE has been cancelling visas of Pakistanis silently, recently someone I knew who was on Umrah in KSA, got a text informing him that his UAE visa has been terminated, he cannot go back to UAE now. He had 2 bank accounts, both have become inactive now. He was running a business.

The only thing that is annoying Emiratis truly about Saudi Pakistan Turkey Alliance that it is framed as Islamic in nature. If the alliance was framed as an Arab alliance, the UAE would be in board. Someone should write academically why the UAE hates islam so much. It is psychotic.

The UAE is a hereditary monarchy and dictatorship which allows no elections or political dissent.
If you criticise the rulers in the UAE you end up in jail.

As I said a few months ago, 90% of Pakistan's poor and middle class will live in a dystopian ecosystem similar to the Rio favelas and Johannesburg townships, while the rich elites will live in fortified, secure societies totally immune from the rest. This is the future of Pakistan. Choose your neighborhood or community accordingly.

So much respect to that man for not only calling out these killers but staying steadfast even when that nasty racist walked over to try to intimidate him.

ICAN condemns yesterday's reported Indian ballistic missile test, practicing the mass killing of civilians is reprehensible and to be condemned at any time, but to do so on #HiroshimaDay is an insult to the survivors of that atrocity. #NuclearBan

Of all the grave crises Pakistan is facing, nothing is more existential than the crisis within its intelligentsia.
Decades of state repression, tyranny and personal ambitions have disconnected them from their own reality, taking away not just their voice and credibility, but their ability to imagine and offer a better alternate to direct and indirect military rule.
Today, some can't, many won't, and most others simply don't want to speak about the problems at home. Hence, they compensate by showing solidarity with victims or expressing outrage against oppressors elsewhere around the world.
Their dilemma? Silence at home is becoming costly; speaking out on issues abroad is becoming costlier.
