It is an honour to be elected as County Councillor for Bromsgrove East and I'm keen to get stuck in to continue to improve our area and be a strong voice for us on the Council. Thank you all for the support, and thank you to Kit Taylor for his service as our previous Councillor.

Let's take back control in Bromsgrove! This week the Government announced plans to continue with its shake up of local councils in Worcestershire. Whilst some may be critical of having two councils - North and South, this presents an opportunity for us (1/3)

to take back control of services and put them in the hands of more local decision makers. As we have seen with BREP, poor decisions have been made in the past by councillors in the south of the county that are impacting us here in Bromsgrove. (2/3)

🎖️I've brought together 103 MPs from 11 parties & @PoppyLegion with a simple Budget ask: Stop cutting injured veterans' benefits just because they've received military compensation. Civilian compensation is protected. Veterans should be too. Chancellor, this injustice must end

Despite the weather, we enjoyed speaking to residents on the doorstep today to hear the local issues that matter most! Thank you to everyone who spoke with us to discuss how we can make Bromsgrove an even better place to live. #Bromsgrove #LibDems

Standing up for Bromsgrove's Farmers! My motion to demand a better deal for our farmers after a failed rollout of the Sustainable Farming Incentive has received the backing of Labour, Conservative and Independent Councillors in Bromsgrove. bromsgrovestandard.co.uk/new…

I'm greateful to have attended today's civic service to raise money to support the work of Touchstones - an incredible local charity supporting young people facing bereavement. Thank you to St. Johns Church and the Chairman of BDC for a wonderful service.

Unanimous support for farming motion! Tonight, there was unanimous cross party support across for @BromsLibDems motion to lobby Government for a better deal for Bromsgrove's farmers after being let down by a botched Brexit, IHT changes and poorly implemented SFI scheme

This report is absolutely chilling and terrifying for those of us of colour in this country. That's why I will keep fighting every single day for tolerance, decency and valuing the dignity of every human. We need to keep these despicable individuals and their party out of power – at Richmond, London

Great news for residents across Bromsgrove, we are grateful the Government has listened to years of campaigning from Lib Dem MP Tom Gordon
🚨 HUGE win for the disabled community. Near 2 years of campaigning - a petition, grilling ministers, debates, forcing my amendment to a vote, meeting the Bus Minister - time restrictions on disabled bus passes are being scrapped. Disabilities don’t start at 9am. Neither should bus passes. And soon they won’t - at last.

Building on the golf centre will result in us not only losing this key leisure facility whilst hiking our demand for leisure services, but will also add even further traffic chaos to the A38 which will not be adequately addressed by the ongoing BREP works bromsgroveadvertiser.co.uk/n…

The Conservatives trashed our Armed Forces, now Kemi Badenoch is opposing the only serious proposal to give them the urgent investment they need.
“We should not be talking about more borrowing and I’m afraid that includes war bonds”   Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says she hopes new Chancellor John Healey can find the funding for defence spending to reach 3% by the end of this parliament

Disappointing not to hear anything from the new PM on social care, on Europe, or on protecting our precious natural environment. I hope that will come very soon – Britain can't wait much longer.

John Healey has seen up close the need to rebuild our Armed Forces after years of Conservative cuts and Starmer dithering. Now as chancellor, he should take up Liberal Democrat plans for Defence Bonds to invest £20 billion in our sovereign capability.
John Healey - the first senior figure to walk through the doors of Burnham’s Number 10 - recently met with Andy Burnham to discuss using defence bonds to pay for increased defence spending which he argued could be used to re-industrialise Britain. He’s an ex Treasury minister under Gordon Brown. Join the dots & he could be Chancellor. Pure guesswork which could be proved wrong very quickly but very interesting that he’s first through that door
