Polite racism lives in the tone of neutrality — in “just following policy,” in the courteous language that maintains inequity while claiming fairness. It’s the kind of racism that smiles, attends diversity workshops, and celebrates inclusion without ever redistributing power.

In case you haven’t heard: Women are suing Pfizer in a class action lawsuit because the birth control shots (Depo-Provera) have been found to cause brain tumors. 1 in 4 women use this birth control. And Black women are prescribed it at double the national rate.
