Foremost it’s truly empowering. You can basically start coding in natural language from scratch even if you’re not technically versed at all. The barriers to entry for software engineering are really coming down fast.
Google launching Deep Review for scientific paper submission review - further accelerating science/research
Another highlight from today’s Research@ event: After successful deployments across 16K+ submissions at STOC, ICML, NeurIPS, & ICLR, learn how Deep Review is expanding from scientific peer review to provide rigorous, grounded verification for knowledge documents, including Google Docs & presos. I love Claude.
I just hope their IPO won't kill the company, their product and the current AI theme led bull run
I really love the chattiness and responses of flash 3.8 in the AGY harness. It’s really providing lots of feedback at the end of each turn and this provides a ton of insights for closer in the loop iterations and learning
not even git is safe anymore
New on our Engineering blog: Creating in-house source control.
In May, we merged around 2,500 code changes per day. In September, we merged more than 30,000 per day. As a result, we became bottlenecked by developer infrastructure built for human (rather than agent) scale.
Here, we share how we built a new version control system—and fully migrated our monorepo from git—in five months: anthropic.com/engineering/re…
who is still using Jules?
sadly I dont need most of the Ultra plan specs. Can't we have a custom coding focused plan pls?

Today, we unveiled our Equipment and Process Innovation and Commercialization (EPIC) Center, a $5 billion capital investment to build the world’s largest facility dedicated to collaborative semiconductor process technology and manufacturing equipment R&D. Inside the EPIC Center, leading chipmakers, systems companies, equipment partners and university researchers will work side by side with Applied’s scientists and engineers to accelerate the pace of chip innovation for the AI era.
“As AI infrastructure scales, the demands of high-performance computing are driving unprecedented complexity across the chipmaking roadmap. To win the race for AI leadership, our industry must rethink and re-engineer how we collaborate to develop and commercialize the next generation of semiconductor technologies. At EPIC, the world’s leading chipmakers, system designers, equipment partners and researchers will work side by side with our teams to accelerate the path from breakthrough materials innovation to high-volume manufacturing faster than ever before.” - Gary Dickerson, President and CEO of Applied Materials

didn't even include Gemini @Google. that's cold
(still betting on them making a big leap with Gemini 4)

Introducing ChatGPT for Dishwashing
GPT-6 achieves state-of-the-art results on dishwashing benchmarks for long-running jobs and difficult stains.
The Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem is a $1 million challenge about whether the equations describing fluid motion can break down. In this video, I accidentally found a counter-example while trying to optimize my dishwasher. But in reality, OpenAI used 10,000 AI agents to find a proof in 88 hours: openai.com/index/navier-stok…
