They really need to get a grip of this before it destroys the small confidence the public still retain for the institution
We look forward to the child of a Russian oligarch or a Chinese "businessman", who is studying in Scotland on a temporary visa, being permitted to stand for election to our Parliament. Or will @JohnSwinney rethink when the sheer idiocy of a system that permits this, hit him?

Female members of the RCN are on their own if a man wants to undress/watch them undress in the female changing rooms. Beyond belief. “NHS Fife nurse Sandie Peggie LOSES case against trade union” thecourier.co.uk/fp/politics…

Hardest working thing in Scotland is John Swinney's belt.
First Minister @JohnSwinney welcomed a report showing the @Glasgow_2026 Commonwealth Games brought a £117m boost to Scotland’s economy. The Games has been handed over to Ahmedabad for 2030, strengthening sporting links between Scotland and India.

Finally! A definition of gender everyone can get behind! 🎉🎉

This will fuel calls for a women’s trade union. And rightly so.
Nurse Sandie Peggie has lost her employment tribunal case against her union, Royal College of Nursing (RCN). Judge Melanie Sangster dismissed claims that RCN discriminated against her because of her gender critical beliefs. Find the judgment and press on our Substack. 🔗⬇️

Nurses like Sandie should be allowed to do their job caring for patients, not subjected to witch hunts for defending their basic rights to privacy and dignity. This ruling on her union’s failures to support her (not about single-sex spaces where she has already won) is disapppointing but takes nothing away from Sandie’s courage in standing up not just for herself but for women’s rights. The usual suspects will twist the outcome to attack her after what she’s been through but she is braver and better than them. Either way, the next Conservative government will put a stop to this nonsense. The NHS should support its nurses, and regulators should focus on what actually matters: professional standards and patient safety not silly fads.
The dismissal today of Sandie Peggie’s case against the Royal College of Nursing should concern every healthcare professional who believes in biological reality. Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, said: “Sandie’s story shows why healthcare professionals need a union that understands their convictions before a crisis begins. “The court’s decision does not erase the fears and lawful beliefs of nurses who believe their union may not represent them robustly when disputes involve biological sex and gender identity. “Sandie’s experience shows how vulnerable a nurse can become when trust in union representation breaks down. “Gender-critical nurses deserve representation from a union whose starting point is clear: biological sex is real, freedom of belief matters, and lawful single-sex protections must be defended. “The Darlington Nursing Union exists to provide that representation. We will stand firmly alongside our members, seek early and effective resolutions, and defend them robustly if a dispute escalates. "Our members should never have to question whether their union shares a commitment to defending their lawful rights." Join the Darlington Nursing Union by contacting [email protected]

According to unions, discrimination against women is not discrimination, just normal behaviour. Which tells you what they think of women.
The nurses' union is not obliged to help nurses, it seems.

King Charles is not amused as torrential rain leaves him soaked through during a ceremony in Antigua on his Caribbean tour. The King is drenched by rain after waiting over a minute longer than the Queen for an umbrella. 🔗 trib.al/9aE4R2y

If that creep dared call me racist, I'd ask him how his rapist cousin Jordan was getting on in prison.
Dear Scottish Nationalists. The @theSNP think you are racist, just because you complain that you can’t get a cancer diagnosis whilst “New Scot’s” can get a GP appointment at a drop of a hat. Why on earth do you still support them?

The same story about Scotland and it is still told and - worse - believed. The voluntary union is an English/British lie.
Replying to @MarioNawfal
Respectfully Mario, that graphic is very misleading Ireland and Britain did not ‘unite’ in 1801. After yet another attempt at independence by Ireland in 1798, Britain sought to get rid of the Irish parliament once and for all and subsume Ireland. It bribed Irish politicians to vote their Parliament out of existence - forcing Ireland into an unwanted and undemocratic union. Irish Catholics, the vast majority, had highly limited voting rights and weren’t allowed to sit in Parliament. The parliament did not represent the people. The first time the Irish majority could vote, they voted for ‘Home Rule’ parties - reverting the enforced Union of 1801 tone-establish an Irish Parliament There has never been a voluntarily Union between Britain and Ireland. Irish identity long predates the concept, and had always had a majority wanting to remain independent Anyone who loves democracy should support the concept of restoring the whole of the island of Ireland to the Irish There were never meant to be fabricated national boundary lines on this island

Diana was right about him.
King Charles appears furious as he gets caught in the rain and repeatedly tells staff to give him an umbrella. “Where’s the umbrella?!” The King appeared upset during a heavy downpour in Antigua and Barbuda’s 45th Independence Day with Camilla walking off after she was handed an umbrella.

Astonishing the BBC used a crook to comment on the UK’s finances. Sturgeon refuses to return gifts her convicted husband stole. If the BBC paid an appearance fee to this inveterate liar it misused license payers money.

I cannot believe the BBC is wheeling out Nicola Sturgeon as a political commentator. I know they're struggling financially, with millions refusing to pay the TV licence, but this really is scraping the barrel. Sturgeon's political career ended in disgrace, and after decades campaigning for Scottish independence, she packed her bags and moved to London. Now she's lecturing us on British politics from the BBC sofa. You couldn't make it up.

Will this narcissistic has been politician just learn to shut the fuck up because people in Scotland have heard more than enough from her and her betrayal of the independence cause in the last 10 years to last a lifetime 😡
People in Scotland got old and died waiting for her to deliver, while she strung them along and allowed her husband to rip them off.
