I might just retweet this every day forever - it is SO important that doctors experience the positive effects of having a GP.
Self care + Primary care = Healthy Doctor
Replying to @GColleranMD
(2) if you are a doctor & you follow me & you don’t have a GP & you try to manage things yourself
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 get yourself your own GP
We all need the care that comes with the enduring relationship that happens in primary care
What is there to say?

As I approach 50, I realise, while it’s not really old, it has the sense of entering the ‘third age’, reflects Dr Sarah Fitzgibbon

"Feasible even in metastatic disease"...
I would respectfully ask all of us as HCPs to stop assuming that metastatic=moribund!! I did one of my best cartwheels ever about 10 years after my stage 4 diagnosis.
🏋️ Yay for exercise- Level 1 evidence that it improves survival in cancer! If exercise were a drug it would be FDA approved! Exercise should be considered a vital sign to discuss with all patients and is feasible even in metastatic disease! @charlesryanmd #apccc26

It is unacceptable that healthcare workers are being excluded from life saving help solely because of where they live. Dr Adam Kay, our Patron, joined leaders in Northern Ireland last week to call for NI staff to have NHS Practitioner Health services.
