Just a quick reminder that early voting officially opened in Maryland this morning. From today until October 29th, early voting centers across Maryland are open for in-person voting. It’s a great way to skip the lines of Election Day and check voting off your to do list.

Born and raised in a union household, I was grateful the opportunity to tour the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters’ Technical Center in Upper Marlboro and learn firsthand about the wide range of work their members do – from construction of docks to scaffolding to assembling trade shows and exhibitions.
It was especially great to learn more about the safety training, benefits, and resources available to union members, as well as their commitment to recruiting and training local talent for good-paying, family-sustaining jobs across Maryland.
Thank you to Frank Mahoney and @EASCarpenters for having me. I’m proud to support the work you do to invest in Maryland’s skilled workforce and build pathways to lasting careers in the trades!
Getting out the vote for our partners is one of the most important things we can do in this final stretch until Election Day! And another rainy day on the Eastern Shore couldn’t stop this group from hitting nearly 500 doors in support of Talbot County Board of Education President Emily Jackson, along with Candidate for State Senate, Katie Clendaniel. Our fabulous #TeamElfreth fellows and Talbot County Education Association teachers were out talking to voters about why electing student-focused, teacher-backed leaders is critical to building stronger school systems across Maryland. Thank you to Phil and Emily Jackson for bringing this incredible group together and continuing the good fight for your community!
There’s something special about watching a long-time friend deliver for her community time and time again. County Executive Jessica Fitzwater and I were in the very first @EmergeMaryland class together in 2013. Now, nearly four years into her term as Frederick County Executive, @jessfitzwater has increased funding for Frederick County Public Schools by 40%, fought for affordable housing while protecting precious farmland and open space, stood up for federal workers through reckless DOGE cuts, and so much more.
Jessica is exactly why we need to elect more educators, more mothers, and more women to public office. She leads with the experience, empathy, and determination – and I am so proud to support her re-election as Frederick County Executive.
There is much to reflect on as the last 22 months as your Congresswoman. It has been an incredibly difficult year for so many neighbors, Marylanders, and Americans. From DOGE taking a sledgehammer to the federal workforce, to the weaponization of ICE against our immigrant neighbors, to now a reckless war in Iran that puts our servicemembers and civilians in harm’s way AND has resulted in skyrocketing inflation, so much has gone wrong. But despite this, I have been able to be successful and effective as your Member of Congress – even in the minority as a freshman Democrat – because of your confidence in me.
My team and I have closed over 3,278 constituent cases, returned more than $4.5 million directly to Marylanders, secured over $20 million in federal funding for projects across our district, held 30 town halls and forums, appointed 31 young Marylanders to our service academies, and had five bills signed into law.
Now, as I humbly ask for a second term in Congress, I was thrilled to bring friends and neighbors together in Annapolis for my (just slightly-belated) annual Birthday Bash to reflect on the progress we’ve made and look ahead. Special thanks to my incredible partners on this campaign, the Annapolis Maritime Museum for hosting, Blue Oyster Environmental for always shucking with a smile, True Chesapeake for serving up some delicious (and invasive) blue catfish, and Mixed Business Music for playing an awesome show.
With just 18 days until Election Day, I am incredibly grateful for your continued support and confidence in this work. Let’s get this done!
Maryland! Early voting starts in just one week – and you know what that means. Team Elfreth is hitting the road to help our state and local partners Get Out The Vote!

We can’t wait to see you in Arnold, Annapolis, Pasadena, or Crofton! Find more details and sign up at the links below. See you soon MD-03!

There are 20 days left until Election Day. Over the next 20 days, our team will knock on thousands of doors, make hundreds of phone calls, and ensure we all have a plan to vote on November 3rd. But we can’t do it without you. If you want to join Team Elfreth and help us reach voters through Election Day, there’s still time to volunteer with us: mobilize.us/elfrethformaryla…
The leaves are changing, and you know what that means… it’s time to make your plan to vote.
Here in Maryland, TODAY is the last day to register online to vote! But even if you miss today’s deadline, don’t worry. You can register same-day at polling places all across Maryland during early voting and on Election Day, November 3rd!
No matter how you plan to make your voice heard, you can start by registering to vote (and checking your voter registration status) today: elections.maryland.gov/elect…
As the actions of the Trump Administration continue to disproportionately and acutely impact our neighbors, collaboration and teamwork have never been more important.
That is why I am focused on working hand-in-hand with @iamwesmoore and our state and local partners to stand up for Marylanders and deliver for families back home. It was great to join friends and neighbors in Annapolis to support the Moore-Miller ticket – and the continued partnership between their Administration and our Congressional delegation in Washington.
As a part of Elfreth for Maryland’s Campaign Corps, 22 high schoolers from across MD-03 have joined our team and spent this fall leaning in and learning more leading up to Election Day 2026.
Last week, I had the opportunity to sit down with these students, thank them for their hard work, and answer their burning questions – from what it’s like to be one of the youngest leaders in the room to what books and podcasts I recommended to stay informed.
While most of these high schoolers aren’t even old enough to cast a ballot this November, I couldn’t be more proud of their curiosity and civic engagement. They're knocking on their neighbors’ doors and having conversations about the issues that matter to their families, their classmates, and their communities – reminding all of us that participating in our democracy goes far beyond casting a ballot.
So, if a high school student knocks on your door this election cycle, take a moment to thank them, listen to what they have to say, and encourage them to keep showing up. It’s never too early to start!
Thank you to neighbors from the Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant in Ellicott City for inviting candidates to share their priorities and platforms. We had a lot of ground to cover from the attacks on our state from the Trump Administration to reckless economic policies coming out of the White House – but more importantly – we also covered how we’ve responded, how we’ve continued to show up for our neighbors, and how I’ve worked across the aisle to deliver wins for our community even in a triple minority. I’ve been laser-focused on where I can move the needle, like getting over 70 amendments and provisions in the annual defense bill by working with my colleagues to find common ground, visiting every military installation, meeting with admirals, generals, and enlisted personnel.
There is so much on the line in November – and so much more that is possible with a Democratic majority that will show up ready to hold this lawless Administration accountable and legislate real solutions to rein in the affordability crisis, negotiate lower prescription drug costs, tackle climate change, regulate AI, and so much more.
With less than a month to go, Democrats are sprinting to the finish line at the local, state, and national level – not just because of the candidates – but because of you!
Thank you to the 50 volunteers – including our fabulous high school Campaign Corps (many of whom aren’t even old enough to vote!) – who showed up on a rainy Sunday afternoon to lean into this moment to talk to voters.
Together, we were out in support of @katiefryhester, @Wu4Delegate, and @nataliefor9A along with Cat Carter for Howard County Council, Mark Covington and Lanlan Xu for Board of Education , @VAtterbeary, Comptroller @BrookeELierman, and our Maryland Democratic Party statewide coordinated partners.
Join the Howard County Coordinated Campaign upcoming canvasses to get involved before or on November 3rd! mobilize.us/mddems/event/102…
Anne Arundel County, I am humbly asking for you to please join me in voting for Sheriff Everett Sesker for re-election! Over the years, I have seen Sheriff Sesker modernize the department, deepen the office’s connections in the community, and show up for our neighbors on their hardest days. Make your plan to vote on or before November 3rd: voterservices.elections.mary…
I refuse to wake up on November 4th wishing I’d done more: more door knocking, more phone calls, more work to ensure Marylanders had the opportunity to have their voice heard on Election Day. If you feel the same, there’s still time to sign up and volunteer with us for the next 30 days! mobilize.us/elfrethformaryla…
#TeamElfreth fellows and I lent our support for Lower Shore candidates who refuse to be outworked even in the dreariest of weather! 🌧️We talked to voters alongside an Emerge Maryland sister Megan Outten, running for Wicomico County Council, as well as Dan Schwartz for Congress, Josh Hastings for State Delegate, Erin Shea Patterson for County Council, and more. Rain or shine, it was clear that these Do-Something Democrats have an affirmative, exciting vision for the Shore that is breaking through.
Missed us? Join us on the Eastern Shore again as we knock doors for Emily Jackson for Talbot County Board of Education on October 11th. Sign up: mobilize.us/s/dmZbRm
I’ve had the privilege and honor of serving alongside @Wu4Delegate in the Maryland General Assembly. I have seen him serve his constituents with care and compassion as he brings his lived experience as a scientist, father, and community leader to the job.
But Chao’s service has not come without challenges. He has faced ugly attacks rooted in the worst of political rhetoric – xenophobia, racism, and division.
I’m incredibly proud of how Chao and his colleagues have responded, because it reflects what makes Maryland great. Leaders from across the state stood up and made clear that this behavior was unacceptable. Chao’s voice, perspective, and work are invaluable. Our state is stronger when our government reflects the people and experiences that make up our community. That is why we will send Delegate Chao Wu back to Annapolis in November!
If you want to help Chao be successful on November 3rd, JOIN US this Sunday: mobilize.us/elfrethformaryla…
There is no shortage of challenges in front of us – from high prices at the grocery store, to never-ending illegal wars abroad, to housing shortages right here at home. In this moment, it takes a special kind of public servant to step up and say they are ready for the fight.
I have seen Janssen Evelyn at work in both Howard and Anne Arundel Counties where he has led on the nuts-and-bolts of good government. It’s not the work that gets flashy headlines or goes viral on social media, but it is the work that makes a difference for our neighbors. That is how I know Janssen is ready on day 1 to hit the ground running on the Howard County Council!
