I’ve spent years training myself to stop thanking people for inviting me to meetings I should be in or unnecessarily apologizing in emails.
And here I am thanking my daughter for letting me change her diaper and apologizing to her when I don’t do it as quickly as she’d like.
Lesson from my 1 YO:
Her toy magically disappeared into a box. I responded with “where did it go?” and put my hands up like 🤷🏼♀️.
She marched over to me and pushed my hands together to insinuate I should be clapping.
Don’t ask where things went. Celebrate how they got there.
