2nd on the PGA Tour in Driving Distance (326.1 yds).
2nd in Ball Speed (126.27 mph).
Let's take a quick look at Michael Brennan's training:
RFE Split Squats
→ Single-leg strength
RFE Split Squat Jumps
→ Single-leg power
Lateral Sled Pull
→ Strength in the frontal plane
MB Shot Put + Band Rotations
→ Rotational power
Single Leg/Single Arm Snatch
→ Power, coordination, balance (aka athleticism)
Key takeaway: Train strength, power, and athleticism. Do it on one leg, and in all 3 planes of motion.

Baseball Coaches! I made a FREE web app
Game Changer wasn't giving me all the hitting stats that I wanted so I built an app that would.
Diamond Stats tracks and grades your hitters in these 4 skills/categories (Core Four)
- Power
- Bat To Ball
- Swing Decisions
- Ball Flight
The main goal behind this was to track my players skills in these 4 areas, so we could identify a hitters strengths and weaknesses and work on them accordingly
If this is something that interests you, sign up for free using the link below. Feel free to DM with questions or suggestions for the app

❗️FREE Med Ball Training Program❗️
Sports are played in multiple planes of motion, and require a variety of different movements. Typical training in the weight room ignores most of these planes of motions and movements. This program is built to bridge the gap between training in the weight room and performance in the court or field. It will use med balls and movements in all planes of motion to help develop movement quality, coordination, stability and athleticism.
This product includes 8 weeks of programmed med ball training. Each movement comes with a video link of the exercises so that athletes can perform the movement properly. Best part is it’s FREE!

This phenomenon is what happens when you try to teach kids moves that big leaguers are making.
One of the biggest misconceptions is that you should pattern movement as early as possible based on what big leaguers are doing.
Big leaguers went through an entire process in their lives of trial and error, development, success and failure to get to the point they are at.
I would call “staying back” something like “taming your forward move”. But if a kid never develops a forward move bc he’s mimicking a big leaguer he loses a piece of development. There are countless examples of this.
People always say, “if it’s good enough for <insert MLB player name> then it’s good enough for you.”
You can’t skip stages of development and trial and error for kids on and off the field.
“Every time I thought stay back, I feel like it naturally brought me out of like an attack position…It was like, okay, you know, I’m in this stance, I’m in this posture. I’m just going to physically go attack the baseball….And it’s the exact opposite thought got those same things that I was searching for so long to show up.”🤯
Listen to Brewers Catcher Eric Haase talk about how attaching the baseball got him in attack posture and feel vs real🗣️

The increased force required to stop and immediate reverse the bands rotation back forward, makes this an excellent exercise for golfers or any rotational athlete

Travel Baseball is like going to Disney World
- You want to believe it makes your dreams come true
- So you play along and pretend it will
- But deep down, you're not sure
So what do you do?
Matt Schepel retweeted
Travel sports are a leading cause in over use injuries in youth athletes. ONLY BECAUSE OF POOR MODELS OF HOW THEY ARE RUN. To much playing with little recovery, training, and time away from it. Travel sports could be a benefit but it’s made into a negative due to poor design!

This ain’t it, folks. I love baseball and have spent my life on a field and this is so hard to watch. We have to do better for our kids. Make it engaging, make it fun, keep them wanting to come back to the field every day. @CoachDavidKlein
