For those mocking the PM for going on Gogglebox: It's for Stand Up to Cancer. For those mocking his tattoo: It's the Manchester Bee, done after the Manchester Arena Attack, where 22 died and 100's more were injured.

Britain used to be a member of the EU. Now some politicians want us to celebrate the possibility of a customs union. It's rather like losing your house and being told to cheer up because someone might let you use the garage. Can we please raise our ambitions?

Energy profits should have built national wealth, not private fortunes. Instead, ordinary families face eye-watering bills while shareholders cash in. Imagine what those profits could have done for heating, housing and the NHS. Public resources should benefit the public.

Gent wonders why the UK isn't doing what Norway did with putting energy profits into a sovereign wealth fund. Who's going to tell him that we've nearly exhausted all of the oil and gas in the North Sea, and that politicians preferred to extract profits rather than invest them for our national security. That is the real failure: politicians treated a finite national resource like ordinary income. Now they point to the small amount left as a reason to keep drilling, when the lesson should be to invest what remains and build lasting wealth through clean energy, industry and infrastructure.

Bill Clinton: โ€œIโ€™m tired of the way we treat our allies like dirt. And just last week, President Trump finally did what he threatened to do when he first ran, which is to abandon Ukraine and embrace Vladimir Putin all over again.โ€ I hope the American people are also tired of it

On less favourable terms is still much more favourable than non EU membership.

Creationists either misrepresent evolution or are too poorly educated to understand it or just fundamentally stupid
