🎄 £1 Christmas zoo tickets for families on Universal Credit   We're offering £1 tickets this Christmas to people receiving Universal Credit (including Working Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, ESA, Income Support, JSA and Housing Benefit, as well as DLA and PIP), helping more families enjoy time together and make festive memories at a time of year that can be challenging for many.   This offer is part of the our long-running Community Connections Scheme, which aims to make days out more accessible for individuals, families and community groups who may otherwise struggle to make a visit happen.   🎟️ Valid for visits 17–31 December

We're saying goodbye to our Aquarium after 73 years! 🐠 Lovingly hand-built in 1952 by June Mottershead (our Founder’s daughter) and her husband Fred, the Aquarium has been home to so many incredible fish species, pioneering conservation breakthroughs and thousands of treasured family memories over the years 💙

The wait is over… Nubra’s little cub has a name! 🎉 She’s been given the beautiful name Bheri - named after a river in Nepal, which flows through the mountains that snow leopards call home 🏔️🐆  How gorgeous are they together?! 😍

TINY NEW ARRIVALS! 🦁🐒 This is George and Leaf... and they’re the first golden lion tamarins to ever live at the zoo!   Standing at just 20cm tall, these miniature monkeys were once nearly extinct in the wild until zoo breeding efforts helped bring them back from the brink 🧡
